Not really valid Transitional XHTML

On a whim, I checked my TV.com profile page for validity using the free W3 Markup Validator service. It is not valid. Not that it is anything unusual to be invalid. But it does pose problems when accessing the site. The more novel the software, the more trouble it will have with the site. The whole point of the web switching from HTML document format to XHTML document format was to ensure that syntax rules could be defined, obeyed, and tested. It would be nice if someone from TV.com, or their PHP portal framework supplier, took a look at this. From what I can tell, the problem is in the generated XHTML markup. So, it probably only needs to be fixed in one place in the programming and then everything will fall in line.
