Most people that download games do not have the money to buy them in the first place... so instead of waiting untill they have got money, they download them, but they say the'll buy later on...
Which is normally true... most people would rather have the game rather than store it on their hard drive...
BUT and this is the main concern amongst the world of gaming, if the prices of games we're to come down from £40 to around £25 even £20, alot more people will buy the games, ALOT more people, I only buy the games I really want, but i'd love to buy those extra games that I love the look of, but isnt at the top of my list.
So, piracy isnt the issue here, its the high prices for the games...
I normally only buy a game a few months after its been released... as I cannot afford to spend £40 on a game... I wait untill its around £15-20.. and im sure alot of people do the same thing, or they download for the mean time... they really want the game BUT they cannot afford it... so they download it for the mean time.
Yes, its very upsetting to hear about companies struggling because people are not buying the're games but downloading them instead, but its hard to feel sorry for them when they sell the games at 2 to 3 times more than what the game should be.Â
