Super Smash Brothers Brawl Missing Characters (explained)

Hey everyone! Joshua_San here. I'll start off by pledging my eternal love to the Smash Brothers Series. Super Smash Brothers Brawl Is one of the greatest games it has ever been my pleasure to play, I have been a loyal fan since the very first smash brothers game. Being that I'm a bit of a Nintendo buff, it just makes sense that this game would reach out to me. Like all fans of Smash Bros, there are missing elements specific to my own preferences. That is what this blog is about.

We would all love to play a game where you could choose anyone of thousands of your favorite game or show characters. Super Smash Brothers is the type of game where everyone seems to want more and more characters. Sure it would be great if every Nintendo character of any minute significance was on it. But the message I'm trying to run by this blog is was "practical" characters could have been on the game.

It's always fun to play as the hero who saves the day from imminent destruction and all that lovable context. But after awhile you might find yourself in more of mischievous mood. The lust for destruction lies within us all. Smash Bros has made a decent step at putting some of the star "bad guys" from the Nintendo Universe into the series. This brings me to the villain list.

King K. Rool

Donkey Kong is one of the oldest and most popular sponsors of Nintendo. He has rivaled Mario since the beginning. With Bowser's appearance since Melee, it seems to be an injustice that King K. Rool has not yet been introduced. He is the primary antagonist of the Donkey Kong games. I'm sure it would not be too large a chore to throw together a move set for him because he does display throughout his existence multiple unique attacks to choose from. (excuse that there are not pictures but html code doesn't work. If you know how, please message me and tell me.)

Mewto

While he may only be an antagonist in his featured movie, the general aura surrounding Mewto is that of an evil doer. (I'll expect criticism for this bias opinion.) Let's face it, when you think of the heavy weight of all Pokémon, (after you get over the fact that Pikachu is outclassed), you most definitely think of Mewto. This is especially the case if you've played the series since the beginning. (How ultimate is Mewto?) The fact that he was already on Melee just adds to his résumé that qualifies him for being part of the Smash Bros roster.

Bowser Jr.

This next character has appeared in enough games and has even been the main antagonist in one of them to earn his merit to be on Smash Bros. Bowser Jr., while overlooked, has made a profound presence of himself of late to the Mario Series having major roles in Super Mario Sunshine, The New Super Mario Bros, as well as several of the Mario themed games. For those of you who like using Bowser but wish he was a little faster, this is the answer for you.

Gannondorf (revised)

I was very excited when I saw Gannondorf's makeover for Brawl. The reason was that I was hoping his move set would be personalized to himself, rather than being mooched off of Captain Falcon. All I'm saying now is that Gannondorf has been in enough games and done enough stuff to earn himself his unique moves.

Now let's go on to the hero spectrum of this blog. 8)

Banjo-Kazooi

If you owned a Nintendo 64, chances are you checked out the vast adventure game Banjo-Kazooi or the sequal Banjo-Tooi. The Bear and Bird combo which at first I though to be ridiculous turned out to have a very unique feel. Banjo-Kazooi has one of the largest move sets I've ever seen in a video game. Being that he starred in 2 huge games for Nintendo, (more than the Ice Climbers can say) and Banjo has even been in Diddy Kong Racing, I think he is qualified to make an appearance in the Smash Bros franchise.

Paper Mario

The Paper Mario series has become one of the most successful of the Mario franchise. I'm sure you all remember Dr. Mario who was a Mario clone from Melee. That is not the direction I want to go with the character Paper Mario. (It's not unreasonable to ask for. Just refer to Toon Link and Mr. Game & Watch.) His "composition" could bring a very unique feel to him. He would be a great addition to our roster.

Krystal

Since Starfox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet, we've seen a rising appearance of Krystal. She has turned out to be quite the fighter which closes my point that she should be in the game. Just as villains, Smash Bros. lacks female characters. For the sake of balance, Krystal would fit the bill.

If any of you care to read on, this is my impractical list. :? There is not much reasoning supporting these characters aside from that it would be cool.

Geno (yeah... I went there)

Geno from one of my favorite games of all time; Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars; would be a fun addition to the game. With detachable fists and "Geno Whirl" he would be a great character in my opinion.

Majora's Mask Link (maybe not so impractical after all...)

Majora's Mask Link would be highly impractical, but would be one of the most popular characters without a doubt. Think if he could transform through all of his masks. It would be like Pokémon trainer with an additional character. Crazy huh? The awesome and I can't stress this enough the amazing Fierce Deity Link could be his final smash. The only way I could see this to happen is if they actually cut out the use of Link in his true form and just use his mask transformations. Then there would only be 3 like Pokémon Trainer.

Hunters from Metroid Prime

Their limited appearances are the only drawback to having any of the other Hunters from Metroid Prime. It seems too god a game to only have 1 character (2 if you count Zero Suit as a different character) on Smash Bros. And let's face it, Ridely is too big to be on it.

I believe this is the part where I tell you all who actually read through this thank you for viewing my ideas. So thanks, I appreciate it more than you know. This is the part I'm interested in. I'll put this in CAPS. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR FEEDBACK ON MY SELECTIONS (criticism is welcomed if constructive) AND IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PRESENT A GOOD ARGUMENT, LET ME KNOW WHO YOU THINK SHOULD BE IN THE SUPER SMASH BROTHERS UNIVERSE. Thank you for your time and have a great day!
