Finally, I've beaten Halo 3 on all the difficulty levels, I've mastered Brutes, conquered Truth, pwnd the Flood, and... and... and now what? The multiplayer is great, but in the end, isn't it the same thing over and over? Sure different people every time, and if you're like me, you win some and get fragged some. But it's still just point and shoot.
Don't get me wrong, Halo next gen is amazing, but, to me anyway, now what? I want to play Halo, but it feels like the same thing I did yesterday. And I know there are the skulls to make things different, and there are far to reach places at the corners of the map, but thats entertaining for one night. What about tonight? I want Halo, but just can't bring myself to dropping it in the tray. And trading it in? Fuggeda bout it. I paid for it, it's mine forever, or for at least 50 years when all discs wear out.
I think what killed it for me was the Legendary achievement, which was probably the greatest gaming moment in my life. It was this huge climactic, heart pounding, mind racing, incredibly satisfying moment. And with the ending movie, and other ending movie, it brought closure. The experience makes me want to play again but the closure is what stops me. Bungie gods help me!
Oh well, I guess I'll go dismantle Strigon Team, which is easier to do than Yellow team was.
