It all started when I moved two years ago. I was alone in a new city, desperate and alone. I needed a new way to pass my time. I wanted a game I could play anywhere. My Sims addiction tided my over during my home hours - but I found myself wanting something less tasking and more educational. Yes, an educational game. Thus began the BookWorm on Yahoo!Game addiction. Playing BookWorm has opened up other doors since I purchased my palmOne Tungsten T5 and was browsing games. I couldn't believe it! My jaw dropped in shock! There it was! BookWorm in all it's glory ready for high res playing on my Palm! Gidget, the palm, could not have been happier. My wallet was quickly lightened by purchasing several other games and their PC companions. Now today I stumbled upon this web site searching for better price deals on PC games that I've seen on Yahoo! But I'm beginning to wonder...
Will I be the only one truly addicted to these cutesy puzzle and tycoon type games? My collection is filled with Sims and I know there is a strong fan base here for that. But what about my Lemonade Tycoon 2? What about my Pizza Frenzy, Diner Dash, BookWorm, Bejeweled 2, and the myriad of other downloadable games I'm truly addicted to playing? I adore PopCap Games for Palm and PC - Astraware too. GameHouse makes awesome downloadable games as does FreshGames though their numbers are smaller than the rest they make Cubis - ahh, addicting Cubis.
After wandering around the site I find myself concerned that I might be one of the only downloadable game breed here. I'm not into shoot 'em games, action games and my primary focus is PC games. I have my GameCube and adore my small collection of games on there. But I was excited to find a gaming community with so much depth and character and so I signed up right away. Now I wonder, was I too hasty and will I find a community of my own here that embraces the world of games I do?!
Time will tell..
