My head is about to explode. I'll start with an about me. I'm 16 and I live in Austi, Texas. I love video games. I love halo. I am a lemming.

Now, to get to the point. Your logic isn't making sense to me. Other then Halo, I haven't really ever played a series game. However I'll take God of War for example. God of War 2 was very much like God of War. I'll take SSB now. SSB is an awesome game series. And with every new one they are essentially the same, yet have improved on one another to make a better game. Halo and Halo 2. While there are some large differences, they are still VERY similar. Some would argue, but Halo 2 is an improvment on Halo. It's called a god damn sequel my friends. Halo 3 isn't met to be an RTS, or turn into a 3rd person shooter, or become a RPG. No, Halo 3 is supposed to be HALO. This **** is tiring. Maybe it's because i'm in systems wars.. and there is no logic here.

I partly agree with the TC, but not all the way.

Halo 3's single player will be terrible and the online will be "awsome" (they have only played halo so they think halo is the best game)

But I think Halo 4 or 5 is going to flop.

That series is getting SOOO old. I'm  tired of teenage boys who look like girls and teenage girls who look like boys saving the world over and over and over again. FF is pretty lame really.

The precent is really very low.

But the new 360's failure rate is slim to none, it was mostly the launch 360's that had problems. Most has been fixed.

I was doing some calculatin and wow, stuff really does add up.. Lets take a look.. Below are items listed that I actually have purchased for my 360.

360 console since launch-$400.00

Battery Charge Pack-$30.00

2 years of Xbox live-$100.00 (Owned system since launch)

Wireless adapter-$100.00

So grand total.. $630.00 for the Neccesities of gaming. Now you might say "but MS doesnt force these items on you" Well I beg to differ.. First off you have the $30.00 battery charge pack. Hmm either $30.00 for battery charge pack or having to keep buying batteries over and over again.. I think ill go with the battery charge pack. Next up is the wireless adapter, again another item MS doesnt force you to buy BUT when you Live in a 2 story house, what other choice do I have?! Then ofcourse the Xbox live subscription, online gaming is all I do so ofcourse thats also a gaming neccesity.

So there you have it.. after one year the grand total for my 360 that ive spent thus far is $630.00 for my 360 and OUCH, to add insult to injury that price doesnt even include a built in HD-DVD drive and also a HDD thats 40 GBs smaller than my PS3 HDD.

Again I wont even include the price of the HD-DVD drive, Wireless headset and games etc I bought.. Im only including the price of the Neccessary items.. The other items such as HD-DVD drive and headset are luxuries.. So basically I spent $630.00 on just the NECCESSARY 360 items.

Let me start by saying I'm a big Halo fan. I've had the 3rd installment reserved for over 6 months now since they announced it but I'm getting kind of worried from graphics point of view.

Last time I brought this point up, immediately all of the 360 fanboys started jumping on my back yelling "its in Beta for Gods sake!!!" and of course some pretty bad insults were thrown in there as well; which is ironic since I'm a 360 owner and desperately waiting for this game. I'm NO TROLL...

I'm pretty sure that beta is NOT really considered early development, in fact, beta is considered to be mostly complete and is the first phase of production in which the product is complete enough for public testing; usually right before the final tweaks and bug fixes. Halo 3 will be out and shipping WITHIN 6 MONTHS. I believe that what we see now is pretty darn close to what were going to get. Why is this disappointing? Even though the graphics look pretty good now, it doesn't come any where close to what we were all promised when Bungie released that first E3 trailer; telling us all that the game would look darn close to it. I guess I got really hyped up for something they might not be able to deliver on. I hope to God I am wrong and somehow, magically in 6 months when Halo 3 begins to ship, the graphics will be mind blowing... but somehow I don't think it will be so. Finally, in the previously released Bungie interview about the Beta, I was waiting for them to say "and the graphics are just old placeholders" or "aren't optimized yet" or something... but they never did...

From 360 fan to another... am I wrong about Beta? What do you think the graphics will be like when the game finally comes out? And please don't post insults. I really want to know how much better you believe the graphics are going to get (if any) before the game ships.

...the beta isn't the current state, if you read the bungie updates most of the lighting as well as effects are all place holders and not even close to the final product. Just go to bungie.net and read some of the updates. The beta is mostly for stress testing and to fix bugs, it's not a demo where they are ust trying to get the game out there and make it look identical to the retail version of the game. Also, it's just showing the multiplayer, more effort is put into the single player graphic wise, but don't worry the game will be gorgeous.
