Armored Kill really called into perspective just how inferior the console game is to the PC one. Whole chunks are clipped off of maps, you've got 24 player games as opposed to 64 players, and almost every match I feel like i'm playing with packs of worthless incompetents. Not just Battlefield, but all games pale in comparison to the PC master race. This is it. I'm making the jump. I'm building a Computer.

My take is that if a computer can handle BF3, it can hadle most anything else to come for a long while. Ideally, I'd like a setup that can run ultra settings, run a competable frames per second, and cost under 1000 dollars. I've already a keyboard, mouse, speakers and an adequate monitor. It's just the internal components that I need help with. Your fancy shmancy gaming mice and keyboards can come later. What numbers numbers should I shoot for? Can a gaming computer handle general tasks just as well? Is it really worth it?

This is also including the Close Quarters rifle. I'm not too keen on the M98B because of its lower mag size. That said, let's hear it!

My problem is... well... when I was looking for a spot to build a permanant shelter, I found this awesome looking foating island. Then I built a lovely little loft on top of it. Not too long after, I went spelunking and got my nubs on some goodies, among them being some obsidian. I wanted my nether portal to be relatively close to my home, so I built it in a small cave on the island, which is pretty close to hight cap. With a flick of my Flint and Steel, I leap into the Nether and realize that something is wrong. The exit portal, much to my dismay, is in a tiny hole that caves into the Nether ceiling. I look down, and see nothing but lava. So, my question is, how the hell do I get down!? I tried water... we all know how that turned out. so, what should I do? Just bring a crap-ton of gravel down there and start dropping?
