@Lambchopzin @daz10x Yes, Star Citizen will hopefully be mind-blowingly awesome with its epic battles, amazing graphics, and what will likely be a $50+ million dollar development budget by the time all the crowdfunding is accounted for. Can't wait!

Bad choice. Path of Exile is a very good game, but it's not GOTY. They didn't even include Europa Universalis IV, Arma III, or StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm in the nominees.

@McGregor , Too bad everything has to run off their server. I like playing hardcore and quit after losing two characters to server lag aka desync. If they make it so you can have offline characters or fix their servers/network code, I'll definitely pick it up again. I loved the talent system.

Pretty sure Battlefield 4 and whatever the newest COD is called are at least as iterative as Origins, yet they score 2 points higher. What is your logic behind docking Batman 20% for being more of the same with Battlefield X, COD X, etc. getting scores of 8? Gamespot needs to develop a standard for review scores. With this type of volatility decreases the value of all review scores.

Can tens of millions of people around the world be wrong? Is calculating the growth time of a turnip fun? Are farm simulators and virtual gang wars real games? Who said hours of virtual ploughing, planting, and harvesting aren't worthwhile? Yes, a small fraction of the world's population who enjoy spending hours upon hours on "social" websites can be wrong, and the Facebook and Twitter whores are hardly representative of the average person. Farming and Mafia wars are games by definition, but I would equate them to the original Mario Brothers compared to Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Duke Nukem to Crysis. As for these games being fun or worthwhile that is subjective obviously, but I think it's pretty fricken weird especially when you consider the wealth and quality of other entertainment mediums.
