I fried my 1st 360 a few months ago, went to the free 360 website and completed the BS on the site and got an Elite for a grand total of $45 bucks (went with Poster Pass). Working on getting my friend one.Use the link below and get started.

My Xbox first died quite a while ago, but is this for real? Or is it just a sham?

Anybody know if I need the receipt to send in my 360 becasue the red ring killed it?swapnil926

I have no clue if you need the papers or not. I don't know where my insurance papers are,but my 360 has only 2 red lights instead of 3. Many say this is because of overheating, but proof that it isnt can be found here:

I hope that just proof that it doesn't work can be supplied instead of those papers.

Has anybody's 360 been getting the "red ring of death"?

Whether there are all 4 lights, 3 lights, 1 light or 2 lights on the left (my case), I can't seem to get to the bottom of why these things happen. It all started exactly 1 week after my 1 year warranty expired. So I decided to look online on some other forums to see if anybody else had experienced this, and they have, but its almost as if our cases are not the same.

So I went out and bought the inter-cooler, suspended the power supply above an open box (for maximum ventilation), and even had an external fan on "high" setting blowing on it. I figured that my problem was solved, so I put in Rainbow Six - Vegas, and I'm playing it for five minutes, and it just dies. 2 red lights on the left of the contoller display.

Wikipedia (in an article titled "Xbox 360 technical problems", http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems) states that this problem is caused by the overheating of the console, but I'm not sure if thats quite right. Because between the Air Conditioning, intercooler, & fan on high, I don't think that playng Rainbow Six Vegas for 5 minutes will cause the console to crash, let alone "overheat". I felt the back of the console, the power supply and the bottom; where the cooler attaches, and it is completely cool.

Nobody can give me a straight answer, but maybe someone here can help me, because I don't feel like blowing another $350 on another 360 premium package.

Thank you for taking your time to read this!
