The phalax boss fight was lame, easy and no strategy

Do they improve? (Boss fights)

Manticore7

Go fight flamelurker h2h with melee. ;)

Hes on flames!!! How can a melee user kill him !?!?

I used the purple flame shield, with the fire res ring and a quality claymore +3 .

finally, got this game a while ago. someone sell it to me his deluxe edition for a cheap price. he said the game is to much for him, now im feeling the same thing...

shikakrinks

Keep toughing it out! Try and play more defensive too until you really know a level (since monsters all spawn at the same points).

best of luck

ONE time...one time only I lost 74,000 souls...since then I sheepishly resort to the PS button restart glitch

IAMTHEVIPQUEEN

I can't believe you admit to using that glitch. I guess the game is just too much for you eh? I have heard that the ps button glitch can also corrupt your game file. . .just remember that ;)

I have to admit that watching the video was very disturbing, but I think that is the point. People are comparing this to GTA, but I don't think that is a valid comparison. GTA glorifies random violence. Sure, there are consequences there too, but they are often welcome. Who hasn't tried to create enough mayhem to bring out the choppers? They made random violence fun! However, I doubt very much that is what IW is trying to do. They are making you experience this horrible attrocity first-hand in order to show you how horrible it really is, then put you in the position of the man who is trying to stop it. This is far different than simply rewarding random acts of violence for 40 hours, which is why although my initial reaction was disgust, I feel in the end it will only serve to make the campaign more meaningful and engaging. If I'm wrong I'd be very surprised.

Edit: Actually, this proves my point:

I just wanted to say how good a point this is that you made. If you are actually enjoying the innocent slaughter of these civilians during the game than I think you areeeeeeeeee a little .... unstable

EDIT*** through that link that was posted you can also see that you will have an option of skipping this scene. So all you softies who can't take a little drama can do just that, skip the epicness.

That is the mark of a good game if you ask me, a game that feeds you a multitude of emotions....anger, hate, disbelief, sadness, relief, happiness....From what little I have read/seen, IW is doing just that with MW2

[QUOTE="XD4NTESINF3RNOX"]can you not save the souls you have? I should be getting the game in a couple of days can't wait! patriots7672

No you either use them or risk losing them when you die. If you do die you can reclaim them by making it back to your bloodstain, but you've only got one shot, if you die before getting there they are gone forever.

And thus is the most frustrating thing about Demon's Souls to me. You shouldn't lose your soul points when the game is made so that you die so often.

ummmmmm actually, yes you SHOULD lose them if you die more than once. They developed the game to be that way so that is the way that it is. Do you know how easy this game would be if you could die 100 times and STILL get all of your souls back? That would be outrageous!!! People wouldn't play the game with caution, which is what you are suppose to do.

This game is perfectly balanced in every way as far as I have experienced in my 30+ hours of playing.

EDIT: To answer the OPs question, I believe the most I have lost is somewhere between 20-30k. No big deal. I might freak out if I lost 100k+ though

I lost 30k by having that many on me when I fought the knight that at the end of the area that's past the giant knight with the giant shield. I hate that they made the game that way and I hate that they made it so other gamers can invade your world and kill you. I disable my internet connection before I play it because I got invaded and lost 15000 soul points because some jack a naeny. That's uncool and rediculous to do to someone.

patriots7672

hmmm. Can't they only invade you if you play in body form?

I have only ever been invaded in body form...for the most part I play the game in soul form with a cling ring anyways and just use an ephameral eyes when I fight a boss.

I think the fact that people can enter your game is fantastic. Makes it even more grueling

[QUOTE="It_Is_Wut_It_Is"]can someone properly explain how world tendancy works in this game, and also how can you tell which world is at what tendancy i dont know how to read that pause screen.It_Is_Wut_It_Is

There is Character tendancy and world tendancy.

CT you can tell is white if the statue of your guy has a very very bright whit eglow to it. You are neutral if it is kind of dull and if it is very very dark you have black CT.

World tendancy is the same. The only difference is that each stage has its own WT. Take a look at the first one for instance Bolatarian castle (or whatever it is). If the light in it is a very bright white than the WT is white. if it is like a dull colour. kinda greyish your WT is neutral and if it is all very very dark your WT is black.

hope that helps :)

and what do you do to change them?

Sinec I don't have my guide here I can't really tell you how to change your CT. WT on the other hand is quite easy to change. Every time you defeat a major demon (the boss) the WT in that part of the game should get a boost.

If you want your WT to go the the black side than your best bet is to die in body form, I believe it gives you -30% to your world tendancy (you want -% for black).

I think you also can change your Tendancies by killing the NPC's too, but I am not sure if that is CT or WT. (someone correct me if I am wrong please)

EDIT: there are also some ways to change the WT with the multiplayer part of the game (but that I dont know much about and would have to reference my buddies guide book)
