For those of you who don't live in Baltimore this city is a dump overrun with criminals drug dealers, crack heads, whores, gang bangers with no respect for human life. This guy was some fat crack head stealing to feed his habit with a 38 page record with numerous burglaries, assaults, and thefts. We have a weak criminal justice system here and criminals pray on the citizens with impunity. There have been several murders of off campus students in the Hopkins area in the last year every single one of them started off as burglaries. Because of those murders you can understand why he grabbed a weapon and reacted the way he did. If it was my apartment I'd have shot him. This guy should not serve time he was rightfully defending himself and his property. I hope this sends a message to Baltimore's criminal element the citizens aren't going to take it anymore. For those of you bleeding hearts that say he should serve some time are cowards. You would be the ones that would curl up in the fetal position and weep at the slightest sign of danger.

Im just going to steal a phrase from one of my favorite TV(HBO really) series of all time, The Wire...
Baltimore, Maryland = Bodymore, Murdaland
Hey guys if you know for sure that would help. I'm not a fan of shopping @ EB(omg so many idiotic things occur when I do business there) but I recently wanted to know because Gamestop & EB US sites have pre order bonuses for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 & Ratchet & Clank Future 3. Do EB Games Canada have these. Anyone who have pre ordered these in Canada can confirm? I already pre ordered Brutal Legend from the & got the demo. In game tD guitar code at pick up. I know you're going to say "just go and ask them" but I really can't waste time going there atm unless I go knowing I can get these bonuses.CleanNJerk
Phones are a beautiful thing.
toughhhh tough choice. Demon's Souls or Uncharted 2? :S
honestly I wouldn't be able to decide and I would save for both or ask for a loan from someone so I would be able to buy both :P
Dang killer's gone too? This is getting really lame.

What do you expect at Gamespot? lol
You say anything that they don't want you to say and BOOM...you're banned!
Correct me if I am wrong someone...but...........
Les livres would be talking about the books in the plural sense but they would not be owned by you. They would be someone elses.
Now if you say, mes livres, that would be talking bout books (plural) that YOU own.
been a WHILE since I have done the french thang. I could be wrong
Its called opinions. How do you know GT5, Assasin's creed 2, and MW2 are going to be better? I would take Batman over them anyday, MW2 hell yeah 4 hour campaign FTW *Sarcasm* Batman AA was simply a masterpiece and im gunning for more. MW2 is just another arcade shooter *Cough* Copy and Paste *Cough* Now this is only my opinion. Just because Batman AA is not your GOTY does not mean its not GOTY for others.cooldust
If you end up completing the MW2 campaign in under 4 hours I STRONGLY suggest you stop playing on the easiest difficulties.
Sigh...Coward? Really? How brave does it make you for slicing a man in two who was stealing stuff from your garage? How brave are you for cutting off a man's hands because he stole what? Power tools? A lawn mower? Maybe a bike you were keeping in the garage? It's all about perspective. You come home and find a man about to rape/torture your wife or kids, then hell yes, you do what needs to be done. You hear a noise coming from your garage in the middle of the night, you don't go fetch your samurai sword and slice the fool open. As for your view on law enforcement, I'm not sure where you're from, but here in Toronto, we have a Police Service of about 7000 members and we do attend break and enters, we do fingerprint and we do investigate. And if this intruder from this incident had an extensive criminal history, I'm sure his prints would have been on file and they would have had a relatively quick lead on who their suspect was. And yes, I'm using the term 'we' because I actually work for the Toronto Police Service as a Dispatcher (not an officer), so I do have an idea of how Police work is conducted. Finally, gotta love your terminology about "in order to WIN". C'mon, we're not talking about Monday Night Football here. He killed a man with a f*ckin' samurai sword! Is that really winning?[QUOTE="Ninja_Zombie83"]The flaw in your logic is that by picking up the phone and calling the police, the intruder doesn't have to STOP stealing, he simply knows that he needs to steal quickly. You arn't preventing anything from happening again, you are simply telling the intruder "If you are going to steal, I will run and let you. All you need to do, is do it quickly (because theft happens so slowly anyways pfft).
When the police show up, do you think they are going to bust out their CSI equipment, dust for prints and run DNA samples? No. They are going to ask you what was stolen, suggest some security measures, (like lock the doors and windows) and have a nice night. They will give you a list of information to turn into your insurance. They do not dust. They do not investigate. Period. Anyone who has ever had their things stolen and called the police know this is what happens.
Not to sound too negative towards law enforcement, but this is real life. Police do not stop crime, they are a deterence, otherwise we wouldn't have crime! Police show up after the crime has been commited. They gather information to stack against the criminal if he is ever caught, but cases where things are stolen often never get solved. Calling the police *during* a robbery will not fix the situation nor will it prevent it from happening again. Calling the police also doesn't ensure your saftey. Having that phone in your hand talking to the police isn't a "saftey measure".
If you do decide to take matters into your own hands, history shows you need to make sure that YOU are the one who is better prepared. In order to win, you can not rely on the chance the other person will make a mistake. You can only say "using a sword is overkill, its too much" until the intruder had a gun. The killer knew his risks when he broke the law. He broke into the kids house multiple times, and his pattern only suggests he would have continued and that he didn't fear/respect the law. Those who would have hid and called the police (this intruder had broken in before, so of course the police was called before) and say the kid was wrong for defending (thats right, read the OT, he was attacked), are cowards.

come tell me that after your house has been broken into 3 times lol...some of you people...
Seriously, it is going to take something like this to happen to you for you to actually clue in.
So since you works as a dispatcher (pretty cool job btw!!!) you would know that it takes officers at least 10 minutes to get to the scene of a BnE. So I suppose I should just hide as I have my house ransacked...did I mention that its being ransacked for the 3rd time...
Final Fantasy Tactics remake in Hi-Def
Please and Thank you :)
Death by samurai sword for theft? This undergrad should go on trial for manslaughter. The piece of sh*t thief was in his garage, not his house. The undergrad wasn't defending his wife and children when confronted by a psychopath in his house. The undergrad was angry and pissed because his gear got stolen a few days ago and he wanted vengence. He grabbed a sword and wanted to kill, plain and simple. As for the intruder 'lunging' at him? The intruder was confronted by some dude armed with a sword inside the garage. There was probably only one exit from the garage and the intruder was trying to run for his life.
You hear a noise from the garage or somewhere in your house, you call the police. That's what they're there for. You want to defend your family? Gather the wife and kids and get out of the house and go to the neighbours or if you can't leave, lock yourselves in the bedroom and protect them if/when the bad guy actually comes to the door. Otherwise you wait until the police get there and do their job. Grab your shotgun? Grab your automatic weapon? Gotta love that..."Well, yes officer. He had his back to me and was running away screaming, praying for his life, but he was on my property and had my copy of that PS3 gem 'Lair', so he had to die. I saw no other alternative."
Oh, and just because the internet brings such anonimity and ease to making these types of comments, here goes...it sure is f*cking easy to spot the Americans in these posts. Hells, yeah!! Where's my shotgun? Somebody looked at me funny...let's kill 'em...

Karma is a biatch. Probably should have stopped robbing houses the first time you got busted for it. This guy has MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULLLLLLLTTTIIIIIPLLLLLEEEEE convictions for this. He got what was coming to him.
