@rayo_theking: I'm with your 100%. The biggest benefit of consoles was fixed, static hardware which provided easy optimization for developers and an even level playing field for all players. I just got a PS4 too! ****! >:|
So much idiocy in the comments. Everyone (except a couple of people) in these comments are legit idiots. I remember coming here around 05 and having interesting (never civil or constructive, but interesting) arguments about the politics behind games, sometimes with people that had some actual clue about what they were talking about. I was one of those know nothings but after I learned about how things really worked and realized how stupid everyone was, I stayed because I believed other know nothings would eventually learn as I did and GameSpot would grow to be a community of credible users who would have serious and insight debates about games and the gaming industry at large. We would be pseudo-elites of internet discussions concerning video games.
Fast forward to 2013 and most users can't even comprehend the concept of separate corporate branches. The idiots say 'Sony Online Entertainment' and though 'oh, so this the team behind PSN!' It didn't help that the dumbass linked PS4 coverage at the button even though SOE and SCE are separate branches (even if they are from the same company working in the same industry).
I wonder if any of you idiots can even read this because I have noticed a trend that the length before people 'tl;dr' is getting shorter every passing year. How do you idiots even believe you are communicating when most of the time you are incapable of writing or reading anything more than a paragraph long? The worst thing about this is I know you are not children, you are usually 16 at the youngest and many of the major users on this site range from mid-twenties to mid-thirties.
I wish for you all to become permanently unemployed (most of your 'jobs' is just being paid to throw shat on each other on websites like these anyway) and never have a say in any hobby or market again. Good day.
This is the first in months I've read of news of a developer expanding rather than closing, being bought out or laying people off. It felt odd, but nice.
