GTA IV: Better than Saints Row?

I have to say that GTA IV is waay better than Saints Row for a number of reasons. First off: The number of things you can do in Liberty City is practically endless, compared to what you can do in Stilwater. In GTA IV, there is so much to do, and you can keep playing for as long as you want, where as in Saints Row you have to finish everything you want to before the final( yet somewhat abrupt) mission. In Saints, the activities just get repetitive, where as in GTA IV, you can do things over and over, yet never get bored.

Next off: The weapon and accessory choices: In Saints, there were a fair few choices for cars and weapons, also clothes, but Saints did the old ' Walk into a store and buy any weapon' thing that was in San Andreas, where in GTA it is far more realistic, like where you can go into secret gun store and browse the items for sale, or buy weapons out of car trunks, or make hidden deals with certain contacts. Also, they made it possible that in Saints, you could just walk right into a Barbers and get a Mohawk, just like that! Although I haven't come across a hairdressers in GTA, I'm sure the way it works will have changed.

Another thing that I will talk about is the graphics. The graphics in both GTA and Saints are superb, especially the bullet holes in cars in Saints. But I have to say that the damage modelling in GTA is far more realistic. For example, I was ramming a car into the corner of a concrete building, to see if the car would explode, when I noticed that there were cracks in the concrete wall, and the front of the car was all mangled and dented, so I was pretty impressed by that. One other example is the damage system on the cars. In Saints, you can drive along, get your car all shot up, and drive away with it on fire until it explodes. In GTA, my car was belching black smoke, and I kept driving until the engine suddenly died on me, and the car wouldn't start. I thought that was also pretty cool.

So overall, I think that GTA is considerably better than Saints, because it is far more realistic and reflects the way that life in some places really is. A well deserved 10/10 for GTA IV.
