There are only two options in our lives. Which one to choose? (Xbox 360 or PS3)

Finally, after three days of delay I'm gonna talk about choosing a Playstation 3 or a Xbox 360 to buy. The idea came out when I became surprised of hearing the following news: Xbox 360 is now going to be produced directly in Brazil.

This means that the Xbox 360 price will drop here in Brazil, from R$ 1000,00 (USD 568,00) to R$ 800,00 (USD 455,00). In GameStop the price is USD 200,00 (R$ 352,00). Those are the prices for a Xbox 360 Slim 4GB, the most basic set avaliable. Despite the price drop, things are much more expensive here in Brazil compared to other countries, like USA, especially when talking about games.

This made me think: Why we pay much more to buy games in Brazil compared to the other countries? The answer is called tax. First of all, in Brazilian's Constitution, videogames fit in the same taxes of gambling. I get angry just of talking about this, because it's absurd!

The second reason for the high prices are the elevated taxes imposed to imported products. Those two, combined, results in what we pay for games and all that kind of stuff.

Now back to choosing one instead of other, the Xbox 360 being produced here is a good thing and will incentivate the costumers to choose Xbox 360 and not PS3. One other thing that would make me choose Xbox 360 are the games, because Xbox 360 have more games of my type. I grew up playing games like Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Mega Man 64, that are considerated more naive, but that's the kind of game I like. In the Xbox 360, I could play games like Banjo-Kazooie - Nuts & Bolts, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero ad Conker - Live & Reloaded, but I could also play some multiplatform games like Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 and The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion.

The main reason to make me buy a Xbox 360 is the possibility of piracy. Yeah, I know it's, first of all, a crime, and it's not cool, I mean it's nice to contributed with those who created the game, but seriously, it's abusive the prices we pay for the games. For example, here in Brazil, PES 2012 costs R$ 200,00 (USD 114,00), while in GameStop, it costs USD 60,00 (R$ 106,00). My point is: We pay the price of two games when we are actually buying one, that's ridiculous.

One of the disvantages of having an Xbox 360 is that you must pay to play online, and, despite not knowing if that's true, I hear people saying that multiplatform games for the Xbox 360 have worst graphics compared to the PS3.

The Playstation 3 is MUCH more expensive compared to the Xbox 360, because here in Brazil, it costs R$ 1200,00 (USD 682,00), while in GameStop, it costs USD 250,00 (R$ 440,00). Those are the prices for a Playstation 3 Slim 160GB. But dispite being more expensive, play online is free, and in my opinion, the PS3 Controller is more comfortable than the Xbox 360 Controller. Moreover, the PS3 Controller is powered by internal and rechargeable battery, but the Xbox 360 Controller, it's powered by two AAA batteries, which means that on the PS3 you don't have to spend with battery.

The PS3 also have some exclusive games that really make the difference, like Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid 4, but the biggest part of PS3 are First-Person Shooters or games more bloody, like Killzone 3 and Demon Souls, not that I don't like this type of game, but they aren't my preference.

One of the problems of having a PS3 is the impossibility of piracy (which, thinking very well, is VERY good, but when I'm paying two games to have only one, it's not that nice), so I could only buy original PS3 games.

I still haven't decided which one to buy, but this don't make any difference, because I don't have money to buy any of the two.

Well, I think that's I have to say about which one to choose, if anyone wants to add something or suggest something to me, just comment and I'll answer it.

That's it, at least for now, thank you for your time,
