It all depends on the size of your room. If it's too small a 50+ isn't worth it. I have a 46 and find that to be a nice size for more Apts.
I just got a Samsung LN46a550 for $1,600, 1080p and I love it. I've yet to see a big difference between 720 and a 1080p however I decided to get the 1080p because i got a great deal from CC.I love the TV
