Hi, I recently started playing GTA SA on my pc and everytihng works great, but when I tried to play it using my Xbox 360 controller (the corded, usb version that also works on pc), the right analogue stick does not respond.

I've tried configuring the buttons and rebinding everything, but when I try to configure the right analogue stick it doesn't respond at all.

I have tried the gamepad with other pc games and they all work correctly with it.

I have installed the newest patch and no luck still. I've tried searching around google for a solution and still no luck.

If anyone has encountered this problem or know of any solutions, please help me out.

thanks!

Yeah I agree, the Logitech Pocket Case is a life saver. Proctects and keeps the psp dust free. It's a bit bulky though.

I'm definitely picking up the Slim PSP. It's gonna be at least 2 yrs till the next PSP system is released, I'm ok with that.

I agree with you partially on 3 of your 4 points.

4. Thinner, Lighter, Better buttons and d-pad, 64mb built in memory instead of 32 for faster game loading, Video output, smaller and equally efficient battery, improved UMD slot mechanism, more colors, etc.

A camera would increase the price, and it would probably be sub-par anyway.

God ppl are picky, you don't like it, then don't buy it. I doubt this new psp will have any problem selling.

I don't think any consoles made from this generation forth will "only play games". All three big game consoles do more than just play games now, even the Wii (online browsing through opera, news, etc.).

I think the only current gaming platform that is only plays games is the DS, so in that respect, you're right.

You should give the PSP a chance, it has some pretty great games in it's relatively small library, and some cool games are coming out later this year.

Dude, I don't think Sony makes any money off the PSP hardware anymore. Actually I bet they lose money per psp sold. Sony loses $200 everytime a PS3 is sold, so why not psp? Sony makes their money back and then profits through software.

and really, $169 is not a bad price considering what you can do with the PSP. If all you want to do is play games, then stick with your DS, more power to ya. I think the psp pricing is absolutely fine, expecially considering the bundles you can get with it if you shop around.

I own the original PSP, and I am gonna run out and pick up one of the new slim ones the first day it's out.
I don't understand how ppl can say that the new psp doesn't have enough changes to be priced the way it is. Look at what you're getting: Thinner, lighter, better feeling buttons and d-pad, VIDEO OUT, better UMD slot mechanism, different colors, smaller and equally efficient battery, etc.

what more can ppl want?

I'm definitely stoked for the new redesign. What did people expect coming into E3 this year? did you guys really expect Sony to unveil a massive change to the PSP's design similar to what Nintendo did to the GBA and the DS? With the PSP's construction, I don't think It would be possible to make it any thinner and any smaller considering the size of the screen and the button layout.

Also, I believe the improvements are quite impressive: Smaller battery with equal efficiency, Thinner frame, lighter, better feeling buttons and D-pad, simpler but improved UMD slot mechanism, VIDEO OUT, different colors...and some other things too.

WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANT while still staying within the boundaries of the PSP's price range and physical space? and please don't say "a second analogue stick", that's just not possible and fair to the original psp owners.

and combined with the Entertainment pack, you're getting a good amount of stuff for your money.

I'm getting one.

I'm definitely picking up the Ice Silver Entertainment Pack.

I like the Ceramic White color a bit more, but I don't like the Darth Vader print on the back, it looks a bit tacked on (it's not like it's on the face of the psp), and the Silver PSP pack gives you a whole lot more for your buck.

Once I get the new slim psp, it'll be my first time owning one (glad I waited), so I'm gonna pcik up these other games also:

GTA Vice City Stories
MGS Portable Ops
Lumines 2
Ratchet and Clank Size Matters

Later Releases I'm picking up:
Silent Hill Origins
God of War psp
Castlevania
