Resistance was at launch, didn't that score AA-AAA at most sites?

Uncharted was one year later, didn't that score AAA-AA at most sites?

Ratchet, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk came out pretty early.

It seems about the same if you ask me.

Why did M$ fail to release any first party titles for it's 360 for a whole year after launch?

I see, so we only go by the "Only GameSpot scores Count" rule when it works against the 360. What do first parties have to do with this conversation? First party doesn't automatically equal quality.

You were vague in your OP, I didn't know what you were asking. You asked about TOP TITLES, that's it. Not AAA's. Those are all STILL TOP TITLES, counting GS or not.

Okay, so I just want to get this straight. When is it okay to only use GameSpot scores?

It took 2 years for a Halo and Forza game to arrive on the 360 after launch. 3 years for a Fable and Ninja Gaiden game and Splinter Cell STILL isn't out yet. All big Xbox franchises that took a while to arrive on the 360. Although the 360 did have an AAAE straight away in the form of Perfect Dark Zero, although I don't know who would consider it one of Microsofts "top titles" as it suggests in your thread title.Floppy_Jim
Incorrect. Forza 2 released holiday of 06 (one year after launch, not two as you stated) along with Gears of Wa, Splinter Cell: Double Agent (admittedly not as good as Chaos Theory) and big Q1 06 titles (Oblivion, GRAW).

Nothing to see here folks. Just another person that takes reviewers opinions as fact.

Oh, so Lair is sweet? Okay, nevermind this thread then. I'll alert a mod that it needs closing.

When you go to a McDonald's drive-thru, you can get a Big Mac in about 2 to 5 minutes. When you go to Ruth Chris, it takes longer to get your steak.lolfaqs
Sure, and everyone leaves your restaurant for McDonalds (Wii) because it's taking them so damn long.

For me? No. But outside of System Wars, say, reality for example, somebody might consider it an AAA title. Personally, I think MotorStorm and Resistance are AAA titles, and they were available at launch. On the other hand, many people don't think Perfect Dark etc. are AAA.

Besides, what's so special about an AAA title? Is the difference between 8.9 and 9.0 really that big to give a **** about? Are sub-AA titles not worthy of your attention? At the end of the day it's just a number. And the most important thing is the review itself. Which brings me back to life outside System Wars: if everybody followed GameSpot's reviews we'd miss out on many great titles. Halo Wars is the most recent example of this.

lol you admit lair flopped!

Right, so shouldn't the scores be higher?

PDZ is pretty high. That game was terd.

It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. The single player was forgettable, but the multiplayer was fun.

I think we should stop trying to shove the artistic aspects of games down everyone's throats. We're only making ourselves look worse.
