It opened early in Hong Kong and Taiwan during the Dragon Boat/Dumpling Festival holiday so I got to see this and I have to say it's a good movie, not great though. Love the big action pieces on Themyscira and the Front. The big end battle I would agree is a bit messy and long and all those slo-mo action does get tedious. Romance? I felt it was more like the Han Solo and Princess Leia romance undertones than that of Capt. America and Peggy in Captain America: The First Avenger. Gal and Chris have great chemistry but only the bit during the third act big battle brought me out due to Gal's acting. The rest of her acting was fine and believable for her naive fish-out-of-water character meeting the modern world of the 1900's. The supporting cast was great too as they were really though they were there to support certain learning points in the story for Diana Prince and her introduction to modern mankind and her destiny. As for the bad guys, definitely comic bookish. I enjoyed the movie overall and I'd like to see more of Themyscira and what happened to the Amazons while Diana was living in the modern world.
