I never even noticed there was a blog on Gamespot. That shows how observant I am. Regardless, welcome to my blog! I will detail my progress through games (old and new) and will often rant about things that tickle my interest.
Currently, I am progressing through Resident Evil 4, Zelda 2, Jetpac Refulled and Rayman Raving Rabbids. I just finished Zelda 1, and am about 2 levels about from completing Kirby's Adventure. I am also stuck with 200.4% in SOTN. How horrible!
Resident Evil has always been a difficult series for me. It's not because of the actual difficulty of the game, but the fact that I panic like crazy with all those zombies coming at me. I can look them straight in the eye and not be horrifyed by their looks, but just the fact knowing that I can die makes me panic. It's ridiculous, seeing as how I'll probably never beat Resident Evil 4 with this mentality.
Zelda 2 is interesting, if not completely boring. There are great concepts in the game, but a lot of it just doesn't work. What can I expect from a nearly 20 year old NES game though?
Jetpac Refulled is quite entertaining. I was never a fan of the original Jetpac, and I'm still no fan of the retro version included in the XBLA download, but the remake is fun. The atmosphere and physics are fixed, and the fact that the screen can scroll allows you to quickly move through the area. The remake resembles Geometry Wars in a way.
Rayman Raving Rabbids is just great fun. It's not the most in-depth game, but most of the quirky will games included are stupid fun at ridiculous levels. It's like a euphoria...I guess.
Well, thats my update for now. I probably will forget about this for awhile, so don't check back every day.
