I've always liked the PES games. They've been superior to the FIFA games in recent times and FIFA(EA) has been playing catch-up. At least with the soccer games there's competition every year. AFL gets one lousy game every year if we're lucky. Cricket is not much better, but is improving (RP2007 vs EA Cricket 07).

Anyway, for PES2008, there is a way to find out how good it is without buying it. There is a competition over at Hooked Gamers (www.hookedgamers.com) where they are giving away five copies for the 360. Unfortunately, I don't think they've got one for FIFA though.

I like HookedGamers (www.hookedgamers.com).

They seem fairly small, but they are getting more reviews and previews recently. The (p)reviews seem impartial and fairly well written. They cover all the consoles, but I think PC games have more coverage.

They've even got a couple of competitions running at the moment for Aussie gamers. Jericho for the PS3 and PES2008 for X360. I'm out to win the Jericho title. Looks good. Don't have a 360, but could enter and sell it if I win I suppose.
