Ya, I've been looking it up and so far all I'm seeing is things I've already tried, although some suggest trying the different options available in a different order. I'll probablyy try hooking it up to my PC and running a full format see if that works.
I just recently tried using my ps3 after a few months of inactivity and when I turned it on I recieved a message saying the HDD may be corrupted and it needs to check and restore the files. After several attempts and freezes I looked up how to do a reset on the system. I did the whole power cycling and getting to the safe mode menu, where I chose to format the HDD and restore the database. Thing finally booted up and I downloaded the latest software updat 4.whatever. Now when I turn it on it takes forever to boot up and when it finally does it freezes completely...I'm open to buying a new HDD for it, but can I avoid this? Anyone know any easy fixes for this?
