The one perspective no one wants to hear

What's the deal here? What is this nonsense of the "new" Grand Theft Auto? I just logged into my xbox live account to see what everyone is up to, and well, I see almost all of my friends playing it. What's so intriguing about this game that makes everyone want to play it so badly? Personally, I wish I had a clue on this.. because. I'm not impressed. From everything I've read, it's basically all the same exact concept from all of the other GTA games out there on the market. Okay, sure, there are a few little perks that have been added to the game to make it slightly more appealing. Oh my God, now I can play online with my friend because we have nothing better to do than steal cars and get chased by animated cops. Isn't this the coolest game ever?! Oh and also, this sounds great to some people who have nothing better to do than send their video game characters to parties.. "Hey, what's up buddy? Are you doing anything? Let's go chill at a party." Yes, this new version of the game allows you to use a cell phone to call some person and go party with them. I wish I knew how that was amusing. That sounds just as dull as that one special moment in the Legend of Zelda games where Link finally saves the princess. Seriously, it's ridiculous how you all seem to love this.

I'll admit though, what horrifies me the most at the moment of time with this game is all the ratings it's getting. "IT'S THE GAME OF THE YEAR. YEAH BABY." What?! That has to be a joke, I'm lucky if I'd rate it a 1. There is absolutely nothing fantastic about this game. The graphics on this game aren't even entirely superb. I can draw better than those bastards who put together this game. Also, I wish I could go to Rockstar Games and inform them of their lies they posted on their website pertaining to the basic information about this game. "It is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity." Land of opportunity? I had no idea opportunities these days consisted of prison, theft, just the whole boatload of crime. You know, as I was growing up, I was taught that that was the total opposite of having opportunities in life. Okay, maybe you are starting to believe I hate this game because it has no moralistic value to it, but that's truthfully not the case. I've played the original Grand Theft Auto, and no I did not think it was total trash. It was one game, okay, that's cool. But if you are making the same darn thing over and over again with maybe just a few new perks and really not re-designing the gameplay itself, you just can't be seen as a honest, successful bandwagon in the eyes of those who know reality. Yes, I said it. If you believe that Grand Theft Auto 4 is one of the greatest games to be seen in our generation, you need to go get your integrity and eyes checked out.

Here's my personal, totally biased conclusion. Rockstar needs to step it up a notch if they want a real great road ahead of themselves. You need to start something new. Stop worrying about making a game that deals with the one guy who tries to make it by doing everything illegally. Sure, video games are supposed to be pretty much entirely realistic to let us relax and not worry about the real world. But stop boring those few people out there who have realized we don't want to pay sixty dollars for the same game that's now prettier. Thank you folks and good day.
