I don't care if i'm flamed into next week, I still enjoy playing the CoD campaigns. As for the multiplayer, well I hate all multiplayer games nowadays, what I wouldn't give to have a new Unreal Tournament or Quake Arena.
This review is kind of meaningless because he says he found it repetitive. This varies so much from one person to another, what one person finds repetitive another finds addictive. I enjoyed Borderlands but some people found it as boring as can be and they'd be right, all you're doing is shooting waves of the same enemies and opening crates. Same goes for the Dynasty Warriors series that I enjoyed, others think it's the most repetitive game out there and I won't argue, it is, it just all depends on what kind of repetition ends up grabbing you.
I don't mind at all that it took a more action approach. You can only play out horror elements so much. I didn't find either 1 or 2 scary and seriously are people still supposed to be frightened by necro's breaking through vents for the 83rd time? If that still scares people, they probably still throw stones at their own shadows. Besides Dead Space 3 still sticks with what i've always loved from the series, the exploration and great shooting mechanics.
I once sold Gears of War 2 on Ebay and the woman said her 8 year old son was really looking forward to it, when I told her that the game is not for kids she told me to shut up and not tell her how to raise her children.
