GT5 was one of the reasons that I bought a PS3, however I find myself slightly disappointed with it now it has arrived. It's my own fault for getting hyped up and expecting too much. The game is by no means bad (see my temporary 8.5 rating for instance), in fact it is the best racing game on PS3 by a long way, however one of my main gripes is with the graphics which seem to suffer from jaggies and tears in the shadows during interior views and rain effects on exterior edges. The frame rate is silky smooth throughout though and the menus are sharp and clear if a little cluttered. I've read of several patches that are being worked on that promise to sort a lot of these issues so I'm not giving up on GT5's graphics yet. One thing they can't fix is the car engine sounds... they are atrocious! Compared to the excellent Forza 3 engine notes they are MIDI-like, for instance the Focus ST (which I actually own) sounds like an RC car on GT yet sounds nearly perfect on Forza. As a car buff I can't forgive PD for this massive oversight. All I can really say is if you own both PS3 and 360, rent both GT5 and Forza 3 and determine for yourself, If you only have a PS3 it's a no-brainer. I'm bordering on preferring Forza 3 at the moment, but I get the feeling GT5 has a few more tricks up it's sleeve...

Started up World of Warcraft again.... addicted again.... lol. Bought Batman Arkham Asylum, havent played it much to be honest.

I've added my X360 and PS3 signatures onto my forum posts but you can really tell I don't play the PS3 much....8 trophies LOL! and my X360 sig doesn't show my avatar :( I'm probably just doing something wrong there. But at least my 5000ish gamerscore on the X360 is pretty normal :)

Got a 'connoisseur of fine games' award after putting most of my console games up, now for the other pc ones! :D

I'm currently playing on 3 systems :S First off it's Race Pro for the 360, still getting those simple achievements on that and getting the courage to try and do a race on Professional! Next up is GH Greatest Hits - managed to get 86% on 'I Love Rock and Roll' on hard! (that's amazing for me anyway :P) and (even though it's on a borrowed ancient PC with lowest graphics imaginable (stone age man used more powerful pcs!)- the Sims 3! Just messing around designing clothes, killing irritating sims in hilarious ways, you know, the usual. Have a huge interest in playing SoA again... have to see where that goes.And finally the classic, the best, the ultimate slightly addictive RPG - Final Fantasy VII! playing that on PSP via the PSN Store download.
