They're not fixing the worst part of the game which is the terrible dungeons. I own the original Persona in Japanese and it's honestly the most monotonous game I've ever played. They're essentially single wall tile mazes spanning several floors.

The game could actually really benefit from a remake. Supernaturally transformed everyday locations have a lot of promise and they could make the dungeons wild and creative. Sadly, no ... a port.

They are trying to improve the dungeons. They are adding more save points, gameplay tweaks and other stuff. I think the dungeons might atleast get a face-lift.

Oh, and I thought it was a remake because of all the cutscenes and new gameplay stuff. Or it could be a port :)

It's a port a la Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

They just really need to remake it to address the problem. It's honestly the worst part of the game for me.

Yes I know how you feel TC, I sometimes find it hard to take the Anime styled characters seriously...

But if you can get passed that, some of the themes involved with these games are very thought provoking and mature, and that may take your mind off of the silly character models.

But in all honesty I do think the PSP needs a good Western RPG like Oblivion or Fallout 3... hell I'd even take a Diablo style game (not those Brotherhood games though)
