The Mom commercials.... I facepalm every time... and that's quite a few times a day, since I work at GS and the commercial for it plays pretty much every 10 minutes. :/ Really, it's embarassingly obvious that they were targeting audiences 17 and younger, which is odd since it's rated M. Of course, the rating doesn't keep anyone under the age of 17 from getting the game, but it's just surprising that they'd so openly and obviously target that age group. I mean, no adult is going to care what their mom thinks.... I'd hope...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Chrono Trigger..AcidSoldner
Yes. These two are also my favorites. Heck, they're still amazing for today's standards.

Well I called back the Gamestop today and they sold it :Prubber-chicken
What a shame, you should've bought it. I'm surprised it was even being sold their. All the stores in my region have phased out pretty much everything pre-XBOX. But, for future reference, you have 30 days to return your game if it doesn't work. And, as long as you have the receipt, you can return it to any GameStop- it doesn't have to be the one you purchased the game from. Tsk, what a shame. I hope you find another one soon. ^_^

My PS2 is still hooked up. I've been playing the Xenosaga trilogy. Man, the PS2's game library is just amazing, even today. I wish I had a BC PS3, though. :/

In my experience, the only real downside is the condition they're in. Even photos aren't really enough. It might look good online, but when you get it it could be smudged, or a knick or crack somewhere... Additionally, sometimes the slot you insert your cartridge in might not be in the best shape, and that's not really something you can check if you're buying it on ebay. Personally, I'd recommend buying one IRL so you can check everything out yourself. A thorough inspection is the best thing. But, aside from that, it's not so bad. Nintendo's systems are built like tanks, so whatever system you do buy would probably work even if it looks like it was tossed in an oven.

I haven't heard anything about except fans talking about how cool it'd be... I dunno, I can't really see it being that great. SF and DoA work out pretty well because you can see fine as the camera doesn't really pan out, but in SSB, sometimes it's difficult to see your character on a TV screen when there are 3 or 4 people or a large stage.... I think it'd be hard to see on a tiny screen... hmm... it'd be interesting, though. Maybe they'll port over SSB1 or Melee...

I read about this the other day and was a little upset about it. A lot of games these days have become so easy, and I think a lot of it is because it's easier to reel in the more casual gamers who aren't used to said difficulty... so much that it's custom for many games' difficulty levels to be pretty moderate in comparison to older games. Ninja Gaiden, however, is one of those few series out there that had stuck to being difficult. Ninja Gaiden and Difficulty are practically synonymous terms, so I'm not too pleased about the series becoming easier. Team Ninja, what have you become? ;_;

Resident Evil 4 for GCN. Leon standing there looking more handsome than ever, a leatherface-like enemies in the bg, a red, ominous sky... mind you, I hold the old Resident Evil style (scary camera angles, trudging zombies, hunters, lickers, survival > action, etc) on a much higher pedestal than the new titles (4 & 5). It looked like it was going to be freaky. I hadn't read much into the game for fear of spoiling things, so I had no idea it'd be so... different. While I'm well aware that it's a popular game, I really don't care for it that much. Oldschool RE style is what I like, but that's just me. Anyway, the boxart really sold me. I remember I was practically fangirling in the checkout line and embarassing my dad who was there to purchase it for me. Definitely not what I wanted... oh well, it was a learning experience. ^_^

I won't be standing in line (if there even is one) like I did for the Wii's launch. So far, there isn't anything really special about the first 3DS handhelds. One is blue, one is black... neither a color I really care for. If they had a pink one ready for launch you could be sure I'd jump right on the preorder. What I'm more interested in is waiting to see if they intend to release either a The Legend of Zelda or Metroid (or both) themed 3DS since both series will be having their 25th anniversaries this year. I don't want to throw down $250 and then find out a cooler one is being released. So, I'm keeping my eye on the preorder roster at work, waiting and hoping...
