What does it suggest for one's first entry to be a bit of poetry? Well, this is a semi- dark poem I did for class that got a lot of recognition and praise so I thought it might be worthy of the people of the great Internet. It's about my pet crow named Drake, whom lives inside my mind and feeds off my emotions. OK, so here goes:

"Ode to the Crow"

You are always there

Not always visible but still ever present

Your deadly darkness and lethal loveliness

Beady black eyes bypass nothing

Loyal and dependable

Darkness will always return

It must

Pain Sorrow and Fear

Death Hatred and Lust

Spread your wings and cast a shadow

like a blanket of darkness

Your shrill cry awakens me to reality

Open to honesty and all its harshness

A comrade forever
