yeah, but if they combine properties and absorb cnet sites into cbs sites, it could mean operational changes

I wonder if this will affect anything here at gamespot

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24643793/

Quote from the article:

"CBS said the deal will boost its online presence and allow it to tap the rapidly expanding market for online advertising. CNet's Web sites include News.com, TV.com, Mp3.com, MySimon and GameSpot.

The acquisition, expected to close in the third quarter, would make CBS one of the 10 most popular Internet companies in the U.S., with 54 million unique visitors a month and approximately 200 million uses worldwide, the New York company said.

CBS said it will combine CNet's sites with its own online properties, including CBS.com, CBSSports.com and CBSNews.com."

the alien ware is more expensive but it is 15" and only 7.1 lbs whereas the dell xps 1730 which is similarly priced with the same gpu is 17" and around 12-15 lbs. I'm trying to opt for as light as possible as I will have to carry it around a decent amount, so even though the alienware is expensive I think it may be worth it. what do you think?

you can't find much for 1000 if you expect some gaming chops, you might have to drop twice that amount at least

yeah well if the difference between the two is so great, maybe its worth it for the extra couple hundred bucks. only a few laptops offer the 8800M GTX though..and the only one reasonably lightweight enough is the alienware m15x..anyone know anything about that system?

How much better is the 8800M GTX than the 8600M GT? Are the two cards similar quality graphics or how much better is the 8800. Does anyone have any comparison shots? That would be great

thanks for advice

Does anyone have any information on this laptop as to how well it works, the features etc, I believe it launched at CES but I haven't seen any reviews from CNET or other sites..
