Still, my only reason for asking this is because you think a disc spinning continuously for hours (Damn you MP3) could cause harm to it...

My Wii is in the typical position of standing up while it plays games, however, I am wondering if this is fine for the discs. I also own a Xbox360, and playing with the 360 standing up is Taboo because we all know it will scratch your games, now my question is, does the Wii share that same shabby feature, or can I sleep without fear of my games being scrathed up?

Alright, me and my friend were having a lan aprty today and when he set up his xbox up, and put in his brand new Tony Hawk Project 8, it loaded perfectly fine and than said disc read problem, and now everytime he puts a game inside, it says: Reading... than goes to open disc drive. Now it just says cannot read disc, even thought its new and now other games are doing the same! Before he stopped playing his xbox360 for 3 weeks it was perfectly fine, what could have happened and how can I fix it?!

Holy -balm- how many times do I have to say I do not move the console with disc in the system, I own every single console out right now and have been gaming for 17 years, I probably own more games than most of you... I was just wondering why some games can get small scarthces on them , is it because of constant use, or to long in the system?

No not at all, I am just wondering why discs get scratched at all, I mean they are not big ones, just those tiny little micro sized ones that ruin the shiny-ness of the disc.

Because its also on my Wii and my PS2 also... to lazy to mention, but even the games I take out and put away, they still have them, and I am super careful with them too, I make sure never to touch the damn shiny surface, its just frustrating when you see them in the light and they have them.

Nah, just another consumer who thinks the PS3 will eventually get better, because of all the amazing games coming out on it. *Sarcasm* I mean seriously, I love my 360, but if I want to play a good FPS, I stick to my PC, only reason why I play FPSs on the 360 is Halo 3 and tons of firneds have Xbox Live. But if you want to go back and play Haze... a game MEANT for the PC on a craptacular system with a horrible FPS controller, go right ahead, but have fun shaking your controller to reload or whatever you do with that piece of garbage they call a controller...
