i wouldn't trust ign for reviews, ive noticed they tend to not know what there talking about. they grade the games with an E+ rating in mind. they do not think about hardcore gamers. and they jump on the hype train way to easymachiavell8x8

Since when is the Total War series not for hardcore gamers? Total War is so complex there is no way they would have given it a high score unless it was reviewed by a hardcore gamer.

I don't see how they could make an entire game about sitting in a trench, charging, retreating, and sitting in a trench again. 90% of the battles in WWI were fought that way and I don't think they could salvage enough intense fighting to make it worth creating.

It's because most game developers are American. Also, they have the opportunity to focus on two theatres if they use America. Another issue is that the amount you could do with a British campaign is limited to a fairly small environment, French would be mostly resistance fighting, and the Canadians only ever had one really notable battle. The one country they should focus on is the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union fought over a large space and easily fought the bloodiest, most intense battles of the war. However, there is still lingering dislike for the USSR since America hates communism and they were communist.

There aren't many games like Fallout really. Fallout is part RPG, and there are very few fps's that follow that trend. I'd say either Mass Effect or Bioshock.
