I was told I'm gonna need an extraction fan for a video card I want to get. I notice there's a fan on the card, and in the middle of the motherboard. Is an extraction fan what can be put over the vent on the back of the computer from the inside?

NO. Absolutly not. Do Not shove them into there. that is how you break it. Unlock the slot, then gently ease the RAM stick into the slot then lock it in.MOCHIRON_MAN

That's what I did, idk. Maybe they are in the wrongs slots. I just don't wanna screw anything up.

Well I don't know if they are arranged properly. When I got this computer the guy that sold it to me put in another GB and he put it in the 3rd slot. So the first and 3rd were tooken up. So this time around with the 2GB I put them in the 2nd and 4th slots. The 4 slots are divided into two colors- 2 orange, and 2-purpleish. If that might help?

Well I just tried MemTurbo diagnostic program and it only recognizes me as having 1022MB. What's going on here? My system says 3.00GB but every other program says around 1GB?

Alright. That's good to know. I figured it should be working correctly if my system info says i have 3.00GB. Must be a glitch with the can you run it program.

I just purchased 2GB (2 sticks of 1GB each) and put them in the 2 slots I had left on my vista computer. When I go to system properties it says I have 3.00GB which would be correct. Most things seem to run faster. But thing is when I go to Can You Run It for the game Crysis, it says fail and only recognizes me as having 1023GB. So do you think the new RAM is running properly or not?

How do I know if I have an extraction fan? Or does basically every computer have one?

My bad guys, I have PCI-E. So that wouldn't work anyways. Well since I have PCI-E what are some good decently priced cards that will play most games on my computer for awhile.
