Thanks imprez and Bosmer! You helped me narrow down my selections by quite a bit! How about the screen size, is 15.4 inch too small? Should I stick with a 17 inch?

I am comparing these two notebooks:

Area-51® m9750
17-inch

and

Area-51® m15x
15.4-inch

Which one would you suggest?

Ok, I am off to college and need a laptop that can handle some of my games. My parents won't let me take my gaming rig since my bro still has like 3 years until he is off to college and wants to use it still. I am quite unfamiliar with how notebook graphic cards work and which CPU are faster. Any suggestions on what to look for in a medium end gaming laptop would be appreciated. If you have a link to the notebook, please post it. I am looking at a range of $1000-1500 and need it play games like CS:S WoW, Orange Box, and Crysis on med to high settings (although Crysis would be the exception, lol). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[QUOTE="mastershake575"]

Exactly, thats my point.... A 1.83 dual core which you where saying was too slow is a ton faster than a 2.5 single core

Agreed.

I own both a 360 and an ok PC (Geforce 7950GT, not sli).I have played HL back in 1998 and I bought the 2005 Holiday Pack (HL2, CSS, HL2 ep.1) for the PC. My friend argues that the 360 version is way better (although he dosen't state why...) I personally prefer the mouse over gamepad when it comes to FPS. Since this is like the second or third console port Valve is releasing, do you think the controls will flow smothly on the 360? What are some of the differences between the PC and 360 versions? If you own both, which version do you plan on getting?

For all of you older gamers out there, which was the better console? I owned both, and I still play both...lol. I know this is out of place, but this is System Wars after all. Just curious, thats all...

Pokemon fire red.
