I'm a huge fan of platformers since my early childhood and Super Mario Bros. 3. However, I feel that what comes to looks, the most beautiful platformers are original Spyros from Insomniac. I just loved the vibrant color schemes and remarkable vivid worlds inside the games. The lush grasslands, sparkling diamonds, sensuous moonlit nights and rich details.

I haven't actively played in years and I can only imagine where the possibilities and creativity have advanced since the fifth gen.

What platformers have impressed you the most with their aesthetics?

Kingdom Hearts 2jasonharris48

What makes KH2 significantly easier than the first one? I've heard many saying that. I played the first one couple years back. I thought it was a very beautiful game and I just loved the whole concept of being able to wonder around Disneyverse. However, just after some hours of playing, I found myself in a situation in the game where I was simply not able to pass the pack of Heartless creatures. After getting off the Destiny Islands, the game turned into repetitive hitting of x-button, because the Heartless thingies just EFFING KEPT POPPING UP EVERY HALF SECOND. I felt incredibly agitated and bored. Finally I got cornered inside the game and died every single time I tried to get pass the hurdle of Heartless'. After surviving my aneyrism I deciced never to touch the game again. I felt so incredibly let down, because I couldn't advance and had only gone but few hours into the game.

So, is the sequel also just numbing x-hit-fest or do I actually get to play like 10 minutes without getting interrupted by a pack of villians that just won't die?

My favourite games are in the (turn-based) RPG and platformer genres.

I began my RPG journey with Pokemon Emerald. When my friend first recommended it to me, I scoffed at him that there's no way I'm trying out something so childish and moronic. However, I decided to give it a shot, after boasting so loudly how open-minded I am about new things. It took me 10 minutes to grasp the gameplay and I was instantly hooked. It bugged me immensly that I had to actually sleep between playing. :D So, I began wondering, what else is out there. I currently own the following RPGS: Final Fantasy VIII (I've owned the game like years and never have played it :'D) Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (I quickly tried it out and the graphics and audio are just stunning) Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel (it got some crushing reviews, but I'm saddened to admit that I'm an Inuyasha fan) Pokemon Ruby Version Pokemon FireRed Version Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (I very quickly tested it, and haven't gotten past the tutorial, so no comments yet) Final Fantasy XII Pokemon Emerald Version Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team Pokemon Diamond Version Yup, I'm a chick and pretty casual sunday player. I have the following platforms: PSone, PS2, GBA and DS So what would you recommend to me? Oh, yes, I'd prefer if the RPGS were turn-based.
