You should be more specific about what kinds of games you play or like, role playing like Oblivion (there is an add on expansion as well), driving, action, tactical shooting like GRAW or Rainbow 6 Vegas, arcade action like Crackdown, sports.
My recommends since I like combat shooters are GRAW, GRAW 2, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Gears of War, Call of Duty 3 and F.E.A.R.
You have to look at the game in balance - SP, coop and Live. Play the SP at hardest difficulty, then play the coop, same with no respawns, then play Live. Lots of gaming value if you look at it that way.
