Help , does anyone have NIER who can help me defeat this massive shade?

I have just got past the part where he battle's that major monster that (kaine) i think she is called is hunting for and i have gone into the meadow thing and this massive shade is like imposssible to even hurt how do you do it can anyone help me please ??!!??
