My new PC
by L8erSquare on Comments
Its been over four years since i last got a computer. Until about a few weeks ago I had been using an eMac i got back in '04. I still use that mac because it still has a lot of my files on it. In time this new computer will be my main work station. I got a new computer because I needed a computer that would be able to handle the tasks I would throw at it (and not just gaming) while staying within my budget.
HP Computer
- AMD Phenom™ X4 quad-core processor 9550*
- 5GB RAM
- Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive; LightScribe direct-disc labelin (why i would need Lightscribe...idk it just came with it)
- AMD LIVE!
- 2MB L2 + 2MB L3 cache memory
- 750GB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 rpm)
- NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GE graphics, 256MB
- HDMI 22in widescreen monitor
This computer runs very quickly and smoothly compared to my old eMac. The HD screen is beautiful no dead pixels that i have seen yet (crosses fingers). I know its not the best thing out there but this computer should do me just fine for some time.
3 New games to my collection
by L8erSquare on Comments
Well thier not new games they have been out for some time now but i just didnt want to pay full price for them when they came out because they have short story modes. I got God of War II, Shadow of the Colossus, and GTA III. I had played GTA III a while back but i never owned it just barrowd it from a friend, and since it was there in the store for next to nothing i thought "Hey' why not". The gameplay is not as good as the new GTA games but I love the mob story in GTA III.
God of war II, just like God of War I, great gameplay and good story that keeps your intreset. The updates that they added to the game fit it well and doesnt feel odd or out of place.
Shadow of the Colossus is an amazingly fun game no other game out there like it and thats a big plus in my book. I only wish that there were more games out there that push new gameplay and story much like how this game has.

Gamer Slang 411
by L8erSquare on Comments
Over the years the gaming community grew developing its own unique culture and along with that its very own language. A few years back when I finally got a decent enough web connection giving me the ability to play my games online, I immediately took the plunge into the world of online gaming. I would soon find myself lost and confused because I could not understand what the other players were telling me, and it was a little nerve-racking. However as I played more and after finding some fellow players who were kind enough to inform me about the terminology I started to feel less and less confused about what was going on and I was able to function better in my online groups.
This is a list of gamer lingo that I had compiled not only from what I have picked up but also from other sites and people from around the net as well to help out not only the new but also for people like me who may get a little rusty on some of the terminology, after all there is a lot to remember. If there are other terms i may have forgotten (Which i bet i have) please feel free to post them in the comments. Thank you. :)

"From Liberty City to San Andreas, this user competed in GameSpot's GTA-themed trivia tournament. If you think you know GTA, chances are, this person knows it better than you do . . . or lives in the right place to participate."

Looking back at my days of WoW
by L8erSquare on Comments
I was going through my screenshots that i took from back when i would play World of warcraft. I came upon a bunch of pics of a conversation. A player from the opposing side made a character on my server just to talk to me and to tell me how great of a pvp player i am at CTF.
Heres some Highlights of what he said to me:
"Always a pain in the --- to bring you down though when you run the flag. Normally have to use every trick in my book"
"Though when I see you normally in the WSG, first thought is "Well… might as well call this one a loss…" since normally I end up having to try to take you on alone which doesn't work out well for me most of the time"
"I always like chatting a bit with the people who stand out in the bracket whom I go against, makes it seem more fun when I lose at least. Lol."
"You and Trimack are the best flag runners in the bracket from my witnessing. Both very good players."
I remember that day, and what that player told me that day made the gamer inside of me overwhelm with joy. :)
Thank you, whoever you are :D
Note: My character is a mage
