[QUOTE="LARGEBASTARD"]sound quality is exactly what im after, dont care if it's wireless or not and comfort isnt a huge deal, although id like to be able to wear them for hours at a time, but i cant afford 250$ astros, my friend let me borrow his 60$ skullcandys, first time i had used a stereo gaming headset before and my jaw hit the floor when i used them because i didnt know what i was missing, so i decided to go get some X11s from gamestop for 70$ and when i used them i was disappointed, i thought the skullcandys were better so i just wasted 70$, i got a refund for them today and im trying to get a really good pair of surround sound headphones, but im getting alot of mixed feedback on all of the ones ive looked at.That turtle dpx id guess is ok, mayby tritton 720, thats what id go for if i needed just easy gaming solution. You can always buy separate headphones and mic if it's quality of sound youre after, with tritton 720 you can upgrade later for better headphones and use that amp for surround simulation, and sell that headset.

Skullcandys are pretty bad, you just think it's amazing because it's you trying headphones with a game for the first time and you heard that big muddy bass and thought it's good, and then the X11 lacked that mud sound and felt less impressive. Creative aurvana live is really good sound for the money, it's the same headphone as Denon ah-d1001 just rebranded for creative (both made by fostex, same speakers, same design). Uber comfortable too, with sound that trumps over any scullcandies
