Having read so many complaints about the recent promotion for the PSP Go, I figured let me put my 2 cents in as well.
-When Sony first announced the PSP Go, it was not meant to be a replacement for the PSP 3000. They were targeting a new set of demographic for those that want a PSP with the same functions, just smaller and more toward the new way of purchasing games. Also, as I've said before some time ago, I only had about 4 UMD's for my PSP, and figured that just a Go. Now many people could have seen this coming from a mile a way, but you knew there was going to be some hassels in getting the first few year games from the PSP Library onto making them digital.
Now I can give a somewhat of a rant toward their latest move:
As being one of those that bought a Go on day one, I would've assumed that Sony reward/give us something after such a purchase. In Europe/Asia/Japan, etc., they had the opportunity to get a few free games for their purchase, even Gran Turisimo for free. When launch day was here, we were given somewhat of an incentive; Patapon 2 demo, Rock Band "Lite." Those are ok, but to this day, Go owners have yet to purchase the full Rock Band game. So what about this promotion? A free d/l of Assassins Creed: Bloodlines or Little Big Planet PSP, that's good way for someone to save 39.99, but what about those that bought it on day one? In North America, Sony hasn't been good about those that have been loyal to them especially when it comes to the PSP/PSP Go. With several game conferences coming up, Sony has to do something about this, not only to continue to appeal to new users of the Go, but also not continue losing current users. As much as it sucks to say this, Sony, if you do not do something about this until the at least mid-summer, the PSP Go will be another Virtual Boy, Game.com and ultimately be a terrible disappointment.
