@Dracozric Played Black Flag at PAX at the Nvidia booth. Aside from the PC controls being comically bad, it was otherwise a very similar experience to the last AC I played(Revelations). From all the things that Ubisoft has shown to promote the game's story and world combined with what I played, AC4 seems like a snoozer. Now yes, Ubisoft could be doing horrible marketing of the game, but I don't have high hopes.

@Joben420 @LEGOslayer Calling the AC3 engine new is like calling the Skyrim engine new. I mean hell, the wiki page for the AC engine calls AnvilNext the next iteration of the Anvil engine. Also it really isn't offensive to compare it to COD. That undervalues what work Treyarch and Infinity Ward have done since COD4 and overvalues what all the Ubisoft subsidiaries have done with AC. They both use a very similar system for pumping out new content yearly for a single series using the same engine, and the lack of creative freedom allowed combined with massive financial success every year as a result have stifled both series. The only difference is that COD puts a majority of their focus in multiplayer and AC puts more in their single player gameplay.

@Wawas20 @Joben420 @Simplythebest12 Revelations gameplay wise is a snoozer, and the worst in the series(though I personally haven't played 3 outside the demo) for me. However they did manage to wrap up Ezio and Altair's stories well, one of the few positives to take from the game. I still the the height of the series was Brotherhood, but even then it was a cut and paste job from 2. 2 appears to be the last game in the series that had some major work done, and wasn't just twerking an engine.

@Joben420 @LEGOslayer Ok yes that's true, but even then they make them the same way Activision makes COD games, they made one game and have been bleeding the engine yearly since then; using as you said, multiple teams over multiple years.

Need to stop making these yearly, rather, people need to stop buying these yearly.

Atlus no longer being effectively independent could really be bad news. Hopefully if they go awry, XSeed can step up.

Titanfall was the best game I played at Pax, I mean it was really fucking good. However, the fact that I'll have to decide between Xbox Live or Origin to play it means I'll probably skip out at launch unless I can get confirmation that Origin won't **** anything up on my PC.

You're gonna be gutting a group of close-knit communities and even more memories by getting rid of unions. I don't have a problem with change, but you guys better really have something good in exchange for that.

That said, the only reason I didn't switch over to Giantbomb was the fact that I've been here 7 years and have the friends and accomplishments to show for it. Getting rid of that, or relegating it to a "trophy room" will probably change that.

I hope these changes are worth it, because you're riding a thin line with a lot of your dedicated userbase here. The communities of websites are a big part of their pageview count, and you guys are threatening the core of this one.
