The IDC Agency just calculated that the price of all the software pirated in 2008 was exceeding 50 billion bucks, that's 41% higher than in 2007. Mind, that's just software, not videogames as well. Among the list of countries with most piracy Georgia was N3. It sucks that I can't disagree.
I honestly believe that I'm the only one, at least in my city, who buys licenced games. Yes, it's that bad. People are actually SURE that downloading games and movies is legit, Georgia's only internet provider has 2 pirating sites up, with free movies and their own promoting advertisements. People don't even know what's piracy, and when they buy games for 3 bucks in jewel cases they call them "original versions". I'm not exaggerating, not one bit. Cave people, no more, no less.
When I tell people that in normal countries games cost 50-60 bucks they laugh their ***es off for about a week. Not that they're against piracy, they just DON'T BELIEVE IT, can you imagine that? They are sure in the righteousness of their actions when downloading 3 movies in a row. I tell them, go check the prices on some foreign website, but what the hell do they care. So I'm giving up trying to do the impossible and convince the dumb ****-s here what they simply don't know and don't believe. It's just so sad that I live in a city which looks normal but deep down we're still in the stone age.
And now, for the good news: 2 new emblems and an unnoticed level 9. I guess I should be happy.
