First one I've done in a long time. I'm planning a review of L.A. Noire. I also wrote half a review for Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, but I can't seem to find where I saved it. 'Til then, enjoy!

"…War? War never changes." So says the narrator during the opening cinematic of Bethesda's Fallout 3. Is it true that war doesn't change?

If one compares Fallout 3 to the previous two entries in the series, then yes, it's possible that war does change. This reboot to the series seems so radically different from the earlier games. On the surface it looks like a modern first-person shooter with high-def, 3D graphics. Underneath the shiny new exterior, however, lies a game that sticks pretty close to its roots.

Despite the appearance of an FPS, Fallout 3 is absolutely an RPG. For those that don't know, the Fallout series takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States. The country is desolate and decimated, a vast wasteland. The Fallout series is characterized by its distinct mixture of sci-fi and 1940's Americana.

Wow... This game is just... I usually don't like Rockstar's games, but... Wow...

I'm going to work on getting all of the regular game trophies, then I'll buy the DLC. I'll probably get the "Rockstar All-Access Pass" thing, since it's only $12.

I really, really hope they make a sequel. (Take-Two has stated that they see L.A. Noire as a profitable franchise!) Hypothetically, I wouldn't be opposed to a New York Noire.

In April, rumors started spreading about Nintendo's successor to the Wii.

Internet murmurings suggested that it would graphically surpass the PS3 and Xbox 360 and feature an HD-resolution touch screen on the controller. Nintendo confirmed the existence of the console itself, but gave no indication of its features.

At E3 2011, this console, codenamed Project Café, will be revealed. The vast majority of people watching or attending E3 are anticipating this announcement.

In addition to a new console, Nintendo will be showing the Wii's line-up, which will probably be its last stretch of games before Project Café is released in 2012. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be the front runner of this line-up.

Finally, Nintendo's most recent handheld, the 3DS, is expected to have a strong presence, with games like Kid Icarus Uprising and Super Mario 3DS, to make up for its weak software support at launch.

Nintendo's conference will be held the first day of E3, on June 7, at 9 a.m.

It seems Sony wants to get ahead of the competition. They will also be holding their press conference the day before E3, on June 6, and they'll be showing off their upcoming system.

The strong focus of Sony's E3 presence this year will be their new portable platform, codenamed Next Generation Portable (NGP). The NGP will see important upgrades over the PSP, sporting dual-analog sticks, a higher resolution touch screen, and a stronger graphics processor. A strong line-up for the handheld has already been announced, with Uncharted Portable leading the pack. Other anticipated titles include new entries in the LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Resistance, and Call of Duty franchises.

On the console front, Sony is expected to announce new software for the Playstation 3, as well as show new footage of games in beloved series like Uncharted 3, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Resistance 3. A reboot of Twisted Metal, revealed back in 2008, will be shown off, and the highly anticipated The Last Guardian will be finally be playable to E3 attendants.

So far, it doesn't seem as if Microsoft has a huge first-party line-up of games planned for E3. The only things announced for the Xbox 360 so far have been Forza Motorsport 4 and Gears of War 3. While the games are sure to be huge blockbusters, having only two games would not be a strong choice.

Surely the company will announce new software during its press conference. Considering they are holding their conference before the other two companies, they must have big things planned.

After Nintendo confirmed the existence of its next console, Project Café, rumors surfaced that Microsoft would be announcing a new console in order to gain an advantage over Nintendo. While most believe that a new Xbox is still a few years in the making, Microsoft did start the current generation of consoles a full year before Sony and Nintendo. It would not be unlikely for Microsoft to follow the same strategy again.

As always, the Xbox 360 will have strong support from third-parties over the next year.

Hey everyone! So, I want to write up some reviews. I don't really know how many of you are actually interested in reading them, but I hope to write a few nonetheless.

So, I just finished Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, and want to review that. Then after that... I don't know. I guess I could finish Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. However, I'd rather wait a little since I just wrote a review for Phantom Hourglass.

I also just got a PS3 (well, my brothers did), and I have a few games for that. The only ones of interest are Uncharted 1 & 2 and Call of Duty 4. And, I hope to be getting Fallout 3 in a few days (since I never got around to playing that).

If anyone is interested in seeing reviews for these, let me know. Alternately, you could check through my games list and if anything catches your eye, I could start playing that.

I have returned! Well, sorta. I haven't been paying much attention to video games lately, as I've been incredibly busy. (Aren't we all?) It's been almost a year since my last review, I needed to pick up the slack. I really want to write these more often, but I don't know if I'll be able to. I'll keep my hopes up.

With the advent of the Nintendo DS back in 2004, it was only a matter of time before a new Zelda game was developed for it. How long did it take to be released on the dual-screened handheld? Almost three years. Was it worth the wait? Does it take advantage of the DS's hardware? Does it still feel like a Zelda game? The answer to all three of those questions is this: yes.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a direct sequel to the Wind Waker. While sailing seas newly liberated from Ganondorf's wrath, Link and Tetra discover a ghost ship. Tetra, being the adventurous little tyke that she is, attempts to board the ship. Link attempts to save her, but falls into the ocean. He awakens on a strange island, meets a Navi-like fairy, and sets off to find his woman. Thus begins the Phantom Hourglass

I don't usually make blog posts about going up in levels, but I'm doing it for this. Today, after almost 4 years, I have hit Level 40: Abobo. I've always felt like, once you hit this point, you're considered a GS veteran. It's almost like a milestone for how much of a life I don't have. I could have reached it sooner, but I haven't been all that active as of late. I usually get around 1% experience, rather than the possible 3%.

My previous blog post was about how my computer died. That was due to hard drive failure. I actually got a new harddrive (and upgraded to Windows 7) a while ago, I just never made a post about it. I'm planning on being more active around here, since I'm on summer break. I haven't written any reviews in a while, which I regret. So, I'm going to start work on a few of those. I'll probably post on the forums more often, too. And I will definitely try to be more active on all of your blogs. So, see you all around!
