I just recently saw the Sony press conference and read the article on the psp go. Then I thought: "ok thats all well and good, digital consumer and what not... But isn't $250.00 bucks for a handheld asking too much?" I could buy another wii with that money. On top of that you'll have to buy your games off the playstation network because it doesn't come with the UMD slot. I don't know about you guys but I think I should stick to my fat psp (had it for 4 years already). What do you think? Should we upgrade to the PSP Go or just get a slim or 3000? I do like the design though lol.

IF you think the PS3 is expensive you are really hurting. Especially because my PHONE cost more than my PS3 did as well. If you can't afford it...go get a wii.tootergray34

Yeah, get some proper burning software. Don't try to use Windows Explorer or WMP11 for burning DVDs.

Get Nero Burning ROM or something similar. There's a trial version of Nero 8 .

I read the question and almost said aloud "as opposed to what?". The PS3 is expensive compared to your toothbrush, one of your parents' razor, a Nintendo Wii and the starter Xbox 360 package. The PS3 is expensive, period but does the PS3 have value worth 500$? I'd like to think so.

I am a huge MINI Cooper fan (own one) and i am a sucker for racing games that have that car (GT4!) and i've really been wanting to play FM2 on the Xbox360...just for that one car. So i went around hunting on the internet looking for more information on the Xbox 360 elite and i'll pass on the Elite because although it's as expensive as the PS3, it doesn't have enough value.

Why the xbox 360 was a dealbreaker?

- No integrated WIFI, the wifi module for an Xbox is 100$ more and this alone is a deal breaker

- No integrated batteries, this is more of a laziness/convenience factor

- Blu-ray player. Sure i didn't care for one when they came out but the fact that i've enjoyed BD movies from Netflix all these months and i don't regret my purchase. I also love the fact that game devs have more freedom with the space available on the media (Blu-ray disks)

- Backwards compatibility. The newer PS3s do not have the Emotion Engine but i have a good PS2 collection and i enjoy the ability to play my PS2 games (my 60GB PS3 does have the Emotion Engine)

- Noise. The elites are still noisy thanks to the fans and the DVD player and i can't have noise when i am in front of my TV.

So do i think that the PS3 is expensive? It is still freaking expensive (not just a tad - i paid 600$ for my PS3, 50$ for the additional controller, 150$ for the games that i have and a lot more for my gamefly subscription). I also bought a couple of Blu-ray movies last weekend...But i do know with the current consoles out there that the PS3 competes with (aka the different XBOXes), the PS3 has far more value. That's the question you want to ask yourself - Does the product i am paying for (or my parents are paying for...) give me enough value? Is it worth it?

The PS3 wasn't worth it for a while but with the games that are coming out now, if you were one of the original adopters who bought the 60GB one, pat yourself on the back.

No, i am not a Sony fanboi and i hate their guts, arrogance and stupidity but they did make a fine piece of hardware. Long post but one that i've been waiting to put out here for a while.
