I got my PS3 April of 2010 and my first game was God Of War 3. It was a definite hit. I was blown away by the scale. The opening of the game was jaw dropping. I had never seen a game with the scale of that. Not to mention how good the graphics and framerate were while all this stuff was going on on the screen at once. While I did find the combat mechanics & story a bit lacking, the setpieces, presentation, boss battles, scale, graphics & cutscenes were outstanding. The game defines what the PS3 is capable of and that makes it a great first game for the platform.
GxGear, I thought of that but my + runs out in a few days so there's not much point. I did find that I can transfer files to my other profile so that should work. 1 profile for good and one for evil. I appreciate the help folks. Thank you.
This has happened to me with Mass Effect. I didn't think it was horrible but I was a bit bored at first and I found out the hard way that it had terrible autosave. I died and had to make up 2hrs of play time. Twice. Didn't realize it had save anywhere til I tried it again. I ended up beating the game 6 times. It turned out to be my favorite game until the sequel took it's place, and is now my favorite franchise.
I am weird with saves. I like to have a lot of them. So when a game like Infamous 2 only allows for 9 saves, it really sucks. I want to have saves just before all of my favorite missions, both good & evil play throughs, so I can play them at any point with both sets of powers. I'm aware I can copy saves to my USB via the XMB, but I can't save or load them from within the game itself. Is it possible to configure the thumb drive to basically act as a memory card? Any help would be appreciated.
I didn't say it was a closed platform. I said it's a platform MS puts a lot of support into because it is a big part of thier business given that most PC games are only compatible through windows. Would a PC gamer buy a Mac or a windows operated PC? Bingo. It's a money market for MS, period. Halo 2 uses XBL on PC, doesn't it? And stop acting likr you never considered any of those franchises PS3 exclusive. I've never heard anyone say they weren't. As for your Wii comment, I said "better" not "best". Better is to "than". This is a discussion about PS3s & 360s. Which is why it's funny when PCs are brought into the discussion when most console gamers trssh PC gaming. It's a different market.
Microsoft does make the operating system. The operating system required to run the games, unless it is available on Mac. Go to IGN's E3 predictions. IGN: "Microsoft needs to show off the other half of thier gaming empire: the PC" And I made my point about systems. We've established that - by your kind of logic - UC, KZ, LBP & MNR are not PS3 exclusive franchises because they have iterations on a different platform. Everything said about Windows PCs was relevant to the debate.
I wouldn't say it's a perfect game, best game ever or 10/10, but it is amazing. The acting in cutscenes may be the best in a game, the platforming & puzzles are fun, the story & characters are good, presentation is unquestionable and the set piece moments are awesome. I do agree that the gun play is not on par with top TPS's though. Very inaccurate. But still a great game. Also, who said RDR had better shooting? My Gawd. R*'s on foot mechanics are horrid. Unresponsive cover system, unresponsive shooting, clunky movement a barely visable dot of a targeting reticle that caused me to use the even worse lock on targeting that would lock onto a bird 100 yards behind the enemy right in front of me. Please don't use RDR as an example of good shooting mechanics.

LBP, Modnation Racer and any other PSP version is different from the ones on the PS3,that's like saying Dead Rising for the Wii is the same as the 360 version.I own LBP for both the PS3 & PSP and there is little difference between them other than the levels being different to be optimized for the difference in power. It's not like comparing Killzone Liberation to Killzone 3. Are you saying Dead Rising is ONLY available on 360/PS3? No. You can play it on the wii, regardless of any optimization made for the hardware, period. Your logic is saying that, as franchises, LBP, MNR, KZ & UC are not PS3 exclusive franchises because they have iterations on a different platform, despite that platform being a part of Sony's gaming empire. More than 90% of PC games are for "Microsoft Windows Operating Systems on PC". Microsoft develops games for the PC. Why? It's a part of thier gaming empire. Same reason a PC can run XBL, earns achievements & has Microsoft developed games.Are you seriously saying the 360 doesn't have exclusives just because Microsoft has 2 platforms capable of running them? It's the iphone to the ipad, brotha. Nothing more. When the Vita launches and more PS3 exclusives get a side by side launch with the Vita, I want you to remember your logic today. I played Infamous 2 hours at a time with no trouble, then I picked LA Noire and found my PS3's fan running at full power after 30-45 minutes. Has this happened to anyone else. I can't even get through a whole case (which I think is necessary to do in one sitting for the sake of remembering the details)
Crysis 2 for sure. It has multiple layers of gameplay not available in KZ3 thnx to the nanosuit, visor, open environments & tactical freedom. I'd pick Crysis 2 over pretty much any console FPS for those reasons tbh.
