I bought a new Wii...

A japanese one...why? All the Wii games I'm interested in never made it to North America. :? I still have my old Wii, but I'm thinking of selling it. Im not interest in Mario Galaxy, Sonic Colours, Kirby and shovelware. Yes, I know there are other games, but most of those don't interest me either.

These are the games I bought with the Wii:

Disaster: Day of Crisis

This was released in Japan and Europe, but for some reason never made it to North America. :x
It recieved low scores from critics, but I found it for a good price and want to try it out.

Fatal Frame 4

I used to own this game, but sold it last Xmas along with my copy of Earthbound because I needed money. Yeah, I regret that.

Ikenie No Yoru

Another horror game. I don't know much about this game, but I've watched a few gameplay videos and it looks awesome. If you like horror games, check out the trailer.

Still not sure if I'm going to sell my other Wii. anyone want to recommend a good Wii game that's not Mario, Zelda, Kirby or Sonic?

Shadows of the Damned

So I went and bought this game today, and all I can say is wow....it's ****ing awesome.
I've played a lot of games this year; Dead Space 2, Mortal Kombat, Portal 2, LA Noire, InFamous 2, Duke Nukem, Alice...but I'd say SotD is my GOTY so far (that will most likely change by the end of the year, though :p) . You guys should try it.

Top 5 horror games part 5

1. Fatal Frame/Project Zero 2

This was my first horror game. It's not nearly as scary as everyone says, but I did have a lot of fun with it. I rarely replay games, no matter how fun, but I guess this was an exception. Played through it three times.

The main characters are twin sisters, who after getting lost in a forest, stumble across an ancient village that supposedly disappeared during the night of a ritual. They can't find a way out and are forced to explore the village. The only weapon you have is a camera that has the power to exorcise ghosts. Basically, the closer the ghost gets to you the more damage you deal.

I've played every Fatal Frame..it's probably my favourite game series.
Definitely looking forward to the FF2 remake on the Wii.

2. Resident Evil Remake

Six years after its original release on the Playstation, Capcom released a remake of the cl@ssic Survival Horror game, Resident Evil, and it's by far the creepiest game I've ever played...one of the best remakes out there, that's for sure. The graphics are great, some of the best I've seen on the Gamecube. The environments, character models, enemies, and cutscenes all looked great (still do), and the music/sound effects kept the mood eerie. According the the Gamespot review, you should try this game even if your not into horror.

Awesome trailer with gameplay:

Still hoping for a remake of Resident Evil 2 someday.

4. Siren Blood Curse/New Translation

Out of all the horror games I've played (a lot) this is one of two that actually "scared" me, which is why I put it on the list. The enemies (Shibito) are some of the most messed up creatures I've seen in a videogame...especially this one.

I haven't actually finished the game yet, but I've played enough of it to know it deserves to be #4 on my list.

Once again, if your into horror games but haven't played this yet, you should check it out.

Yeah, another list blog.

One of my favourite game genres is survival horror, and since I didn't include any in my last blog I thought I'd make a separate list, so here it is:

5. Rule of Rose

Most people haven't heard of RoR (have you?), which is too bad since it's an interesting game.
It's definitely not the best horror game; the combat sucks, the story's confusing and it does get repetitive, but for some unknown reason, I liked it. :-)
The game's somewhat expensive and hard to find (was also banned in a few countries), but if you like horror games and can find it for a decent price, you should give it a go.

I think the graphics are pretty good for a PS2 game.

Anyone else here like horror games?
