Metro 2033 with DX11 effects can give it a run for its money but Crysis features more of an open-world environment which is harder on performance.

As far as a shooter on DX10 then yeah, I'd say Crysis is the best of the best IMO.

Love steam. Use to not like it but I realized it was for silly reasons. The thing I like mostare the steam sales. In the past year I've gotten the Complete Total War Package ($21), LFD2 ($10.25), The Hitman Collection ($7), Mount and Blade ($5), and the Titans Quest Package (~$10-15) just to name a few.

Yeah you have to keep an eye out for the sales but you can't beat those prices anywhere. Use to think steam was a resource hog but after building a higher-end gaming PC a year or so ago I haven't noticed any problems (still usually kill off steam when I'm not playing though out of habit OCD lol). Add adecent internet connection and I'm set (usually average between 800KB/s and 1.5MB/s).

Definitely pick it up on PC. Especially since the steam sale has it for $6.79. Looks far better on PC and there are a huge number of high-quality mods out there. Everything from visual overhauls, custom weapons/armor, quests, zones, UI mods and full blown storylines.

The only thing I'd miss about having it on console is sitting in a nice comfy recliner with a controller.

Belwar555:The Witcher. The only game that realises one thing - there is no such thing as pure good, yet there is pure evil

Agreed. Also Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber for the N64 IMO. Sooo many different endings, great in-depth story and 30-50 hours of play time. Thats not even mentioning the unit customization and how decisions made early on will reverberate through the whole game.
