Final Fantasy VI was vastly superior :). Still going to purchase this though!

You'll see a lot of obvious answers with questions like that so I'll drop some overlooked gems that made my system purchases worth it...

My First PC - Battle Chess!

NES - Darkwing Duck

Sega Genesis - Herzog Zwei & General Chaos

SNES - Darius Twin

Sega Saturn - X-Men vs Street Fighter: With 4mb exp

PlayStation - Mortal Kombat Trilogy & NBA Jam Tournament Edition

N64: Conkers Bad Fur Day
Dreamcast: Phantasy Star Online

I was 17 when the Dreamcast launched & it was the last console where I only purchased a handful of games for. After that point, I have spend more money that I care to mention on games for each platform afterwards so there is just to many games to list :P. It's obvious that I purchased each system above for other games as well but the ones mentioned really stood out for me. On top of all the obvious gems each platform had, the games listed left a lasting impression on me till this day.

I picked Gears of War 3. I actually liked a few games listed more than GoW 3 but I've dumped so many hours into it & had the most fun with friends in horde mode. It was my go to game. I've spent a ton of hours with the multi-player & went through the campaign numerous times in co-op helping friends. While some games did third person better, GoW 3 was the complete package.

I'll just drop these two images here first before I get into my post!

I've played Gran Turismo from the very beginning. I did not start playing Forza until part 2 was released on the Xbox 360. So I have a lot of experience with both franchises. When comparing the two directly, Forza is just a far more solid franchise. Everything from the way the cars look, sound & drive, the attention to detail that goes into the tracks, the level of flexibility with each vehicle in the game (tuning & designs ), the overall presentation, the community, & so on. Ever since I've started playing Forza Motorsport, it has been a few levels above what whatever GT offering it was pitted against. With the last generation, it wasn't much since GT 5 was the only GT available on the PS3 until the recently released GT6. I don't count prologue since that was a glorified demo. I have yet to purchase GT6 so I can't comment on it. I'm also holding out in hopes that they do officially announce that the game is coming to the PS4.

It should be understandable that GT5 had strong sales since it took so damn long for the game to come out in the first place. GT still had a large following at the time of its release. That following has greatly dwindled though as GT5 wasn't that great of a game. Especially compared to Forza Motorsport 4. It was better than FM3 at the time GT5 released but FM4 came out shortly after and..well..., that was the end of that. FM5 is pretty solid. I have played all of the Xbox 360 games as displayed in the image above so naturally I was at Tier 5 when the game released. So I benefited greatly from my loyalty to the franchise through its rewards system. I did not have to deal with the difficult start as many other had to. Especially first time players of the Franchise. VIP & LCE perks helped as well. I do know it's a half assed game though that had a list of issues but even with them, it's a damn good game. I was not surprised by the scores it received even with the lack of content. I just can't compare it directly to GT6, yet :P.

I'm another person that did not receive the Microsoft E3 2011 badge. I also viewed the stream through Firefox. The Sony E3 2011 Badge & the Nintendo E3 2011 badge came in fine without any issue.

I didn't get the Microsoft emblem & I watched it live. The Sony emblem came right away. Prety much right after the stream ended.
