The best thing that you can do is simply get another 360 Cable and try it. You can get them for around $15.00 at Wal-Mart I think.

1) If the issue persists after the new Cable, you know the problem is with your XBox and you will probably be finding yourself waiting in Queue with Microsoft Support.

2) If it works, you know its the cable and.... well... problem solved!

You are all seriously misinformed. VGA is the best way to go, until the Elite and HDMI land ashore. VGA murders S-video, it's a lot better than Component and RCA is just too old to even bother with. No offense, but this is all pretty obvious...monco59

I was just going off of what I read on a couple of WebSites.  You sound pretty sure of yourself there though.

enchanted arms is turned based. It has a pretty good story and a decent fighting system. However, it recieved a 7.1 rating at gamespot because it is not very innovative. Nonetheless, i would recommendd the game and its only $30 usd.callen3

So, you did enjoy Enchanted Arms?  I was considering buying it, but was unsure as I have heard a few bad things about it.  What was your thoughts on the Game Play?

Viva Piñata looks like a fancy "Harvest Moon" game.  Granted, I did enjoy Harvest Moon but I am partial to long RPG's or Shoot-'em Up Games.
If that suits your fancy, then I would recommend Oblivion, Gears of War or F.E.A.R.

It looks like the General Consensus is to go with Oblivion, and I whole-heartedly agree.  It is a great waste of time and is worth every dollar.  So far, I have gotten around 125 hours on it and I am just now burning out a little bit.
I am changing it up with Battle for Middle Earth II and Splinter Cell - Double Agent.
Battle for Middle Earth is an alright game that is kind of hard to get used too, but can be alot of fun once you get used to it.    Splinter Cell, ... well it speaks for itself!  This is, if not the greatest, then one of the best Stealth games ever!

On a further note, I too cannot wait until Assassin's Creed comes out.  I just purchased my Reservation on it yesterday!  HOO HAR!

I can't beleive that this is even a thought in anyone's mind!  Granted, Halo kicks trash left and right, but Halo 2... you just can't go wrong with it!
You are going to be the second person I have ever met that prefers Halo over its predecessor.  The other person being my Roomate, who... well... is a little strange in the head.

Nope, VGA and RCA are different.  VGA is the cable that you would use for a Computer Monitor.  RCA is the Red, White and Yellow.  As far as these are ranked, it would go Component as the best, RCA as the next best and VGA as poor.  And if you happen to be Rich enough to have it, go S-Video  :)  heh

  Howdy Game_Lover70,

In regards to your thoughts on using a VGA connection to play your Xobx on (at least, that is what I think you are trying to do), I wouldn't do it.  VGA is old-school stuff that only supports 16-color and 256-color modes and 262144-value color palette (six bits each for red, green, and blue).  Whereas Component Video is far better in almost all aspects.

You can go to this link and get a general feel of Component vs. VGA video:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video

That is just my opinion, and a bunch of facts for ya :).  Does that kind of answer your question?
