If used games are blocked, the amount of actual games released would definitely decrease. I'd expect to see big name devs like Ubisoft and EA to focus on one game at a time, rather than releasing a bunch of mediocre ones. I think the quantity of games will decrease, but the quality might increase. A lack of quantity though, could also mean less progression in the actual game industry. Blocking used games might even put a slow down on the game industry. It has its pros and cons obviously. Hopefully it doesn't happen though. I'd expect to see devs release the same game every year like Activision and only a few video game series actually be developed. Less risks would be taken as a result and not many new IPs. An easy solution would be for used game companies like Gamestop to give a certain percent of each games revenue back to the companies. As bad as it sounds, it might be the only solution that would make everyone happy.
