@airdrigh: I don't buy micro transactions either. If nobody would buy dlc or pay for micro transactions they would focus on making the game good instead of focusing on "extra's".
I was thinking of buying the Kingsglaive movie though, it got an 8.9 on imdb. At least that is a piece of content worth buying.
@airdrigh: No they wouldn't, that would just make the game sell less. Game dev costs have increased but there's also more people than ever who can afford to play games. Stop feeling sorry for those big companies. Yes it's really hard to make money in today's market with all the competition there is, but in the end that is really good for us consumers.
Look at Rockstar with GTA V. No season pass, all expansions so far have been free.
@BLiTZ_156: Yeah they did a good job giving the first few DLC's for free, kinda acceptable. I still plan to pick the Witcher 3 up whenever I have time to spare. Currently busy playing Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition. The telltale games aren't a 60 dollar game each plus dlc. They are episodes which are cheaper.
@BLiTZ_156: Of course, if I don't want the content I won't buy it. But that is not the point. Because some people are willing to pay more than others, they strip content out of the base game and ask money for it. If nobody would buy the extra content they would have just put it in the game. Nobody should ever buy DLC. If none of us would buy DLC they would not make any.
Some would say "but I want to support the developers because I really like the game so I buy the DLC". No. If you want to support the developers, buy merchandise, t-shirts, buy the game as a present for your friends birthday, stuff like that.
I never buy games full price, always buy them when they get way cheaper. I was considering to buy this full price as it looks awesome, but if they're going to strip content out of the main game to sell in DLC then **** that. I'll pick this up on PC with hopefully DLC included in about a year... Or maybe a GOTY version.
The Vita is going to be saved by remote play with PS4, plus the fact that PS+ owners already get free ps vita titles every month. Since PS+ is going to be mandatory for online play on PS4 it's going to be very tempting for PS4 owners to buy a Vita. The price of the device has been lowered and even memory card prices are a little bit lower.
The Wii U needs a boost like this too. The tablet thing doesn't make me want to buy one. Although Mario and Zelda games are fun, I'd still rather buy a PS3 or even an xbox360 because they have hundreds of great third party games along with great first party titles. And if you're into graphics then you really want to upgrade to the PS4 or xbox one.
Could be interesting since I'm still looking for a good fighter on my Vita. I just hope the gameplay is going to be better than Namco's Naruto games on the PSP. The difference between Naruto games on PS3 and PSP was enormous. Let's hope the vita plays as good as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
