Primarily composed of original Playstation games because that was my first system and continues to be. Since the PS2 came out I've bought at least ten older playstation games and have gotten more out them. I like the original Playstation the most because it has four very solid rpg's (FF7, FF8, FF9 and Chrono Cross). My personal favourite game of all-time is Final Fantasy VII simply because it is why I am playing games right now. It is what started my infatuation for games. The original playstation also supports a variety of platformers and at the age of ten I just couldn't get enough of them. Spyro and Crash seem to my favourites and the new platformers that ND and Insomniac have created are nearly on par with these classics. The Playstation also has another personal favourite, the original Metal Gear Solid and the original playstation also has a few classic SNES rpgs ie. FF4, FF5, FF6 and CT. As you may already tell I do enjoy RPG's.
But enough of the oldies and classics. Well this certainly today would be considered a classic. Only one real PC game sticks out in my mind. I never really got into all the shooters (UT and Half-Life) but Starcraft and this RTS genre really stood out when I laid my eyes on it. I had never seen anything like it before. I've put so many hours in B.Net it's despicable. Anyway; that's the only true PC game I really ever got into.
Now onto this gen; After I played around on B.Net and my original playstation for two more years after PS2's release I finally got one for Christmas. Now my collection has slowly expanded and now own a small but epic collection. Now finally into my mid-teens I got a job. Money; finally! I wanted to really get into the PC gaming again. After what starcraft did to me I really wanted to find games like it. So my friend who was a big PC-gamer let me try out a few games. I was realy interested in Neverwinter Nights and Warcraft 3. But after playing them it felt stale and I was growing sort've tired of these genres. So in November of 2004 I decided on getting an X-Box. Got myself Halo and KotOR (although an rpg but friend owned the pc version and said it was incredible). And well that's that. I'm really looking forward to 2005 where I plan to nearly double my collection and get the X-Box 2.
I enjoy:
RPG's
Shooters
Platformers
RTS's
Unfortunately I never really got into Nintendo. Not until recently have I been interested in getting an old N64 and picking up a few games like OOT which I hear is epic. Anyway...
